I think we're overly obsessed with it, but I think it's a good obsession. ;-) You can never have too much Beckara, thankyouverymuch. :P

I'm off to watch that last video you posted! So far I like the music, but it's going to take forever for it to load. :(

lol, yeah... I think you're right there (about the overly obsessed part... as of yet I'm not sure if it's what most would call "good" :P) personally, though, I'm quite in love with Beckara. :-D I even put it in my siggy... although my brother got on me because he said it didn't exactly belong because it's not "really" PotC. :eyeroll:

I know, I thought of that! Poor Ara! I wish I could send you some of my high speed! :(

Beckara makes life all the better! :P Oh posh, of course it fits! *Puts on big rimmed glasses and acts snooty in a british accent* "Technically it IS PotC because Beckett is one half of the pairing so there."

On another, more Beckett-y note, I just found out that my friend Bernadette calls Beckett "Duckface". I thought it was funny and I can't kill her because she's my friend, but it adds to that theory that there aren't many other Beckett lovers out there (or at least where I live). :erm: But she does a great impersonation of Jack Sparrow and the "My Peanut!" scene, which I know scares PD.

aye, aye! it does at that.... :teehee: awww, that's sweet! And I'm glad you agree... I guess you have a good point too. Beckett is part of PotC. It's not like I added all my OCs to it... although I was thinkin' of doing that for my next one. :P

("on a more Beckett-y note"? that's great!) What? Duckface? Now that's just cruel! Although my brother has been known to comment on how his face and lips are all strange. eh, no, you can't kill them, but I'll never understand why they make fun of dearest Cutler. :( I mean, why? He's not that bad looking (although that is coming from me ;)). Actually there's a scene where I think Elizabeth looks a lot like a bug... it's fun to tease my brother about it. But at least you have PotC lovers where you live... I've got nothin'. Really? :hide: oh dear! lol but it might be kinda funny... I mean there's only one of her so it wouldn't be quite as frightening. :P

^Lol, you're being funny tonight, or I'm just easily amused right now!

Aye, I know it's cruel! I guess it's because everyone just sees him as a villain and they look at him as stupid and ugly [which is totally NOT the case! ] because they don't know the other sides of him. I admit I was never fond of him at first, but Beckett grew on me. People just need to open up their minds a little bit more.

A bug?!?!?!?! :roflmao: Which scene?! I have to see this! Yeah, well I should send Bernadette to live with you then, because she's practically got the whole movie memorized [and that's impressive because my other friends aren't that PotC savvy, so...] Like today at lunch she started repeating all of Jack's lines when he's telling Giselle and Scarlett off at the end of AWE... She's just as obsessed as we are.

Aye, there's only one of her, so you don't have to be too frightened... I should have my friend record it and put it on Youtube... That'd be hilarious.

hmmm. :yeahright: I think you were just easily amused last night because I see no difference in the way I posted. ;)

yeah, I guess it must be.... :erm: But even villains can be cool and cute! :-D Just because they're evil doesn't mean they don't look pleasing, in fact probably a lot of bad people look good on the outside. Like a clever cover-up. But you're right that most don't try to discover the other side of Becky. You're not alone. I didn't think or care much for him until less than a year ago. it was about the time when I married him that I really started getting into him. :-D
hmmm, it's the "how can I trust you" scene in AWE where they're down below and Will starts out with "you left Jack for the Kraken" and Lizzie says "I had no choice" and all that. Have fun watching and please tell me if I'm just insane or if she really does kinda look buggish. :teehee: lol, she would be welcome, I'm sure! Man, I wish I at least had one RL friend who was totally obsessed like that! But at least I've got you guys here and my brother! lol, great! Sometimes I feel like quoting full scenes too... it's just all my friends think I've crazy about PotC enough as it is. :P just as obsessed as us... wow, impressive. ;)

Oh, that would be great to see!

Well, perhaps that's the case then. :teehee:

Like Barbossa for example - he's awesome! (In the first movie I guess he was the villain), but point is, villains usually have different sides to them; the ones people aren't willing to consider. :grr: Lol, well I don't think you would've married him if you weren't attracted! Doesn't make much sense, aye?

Hmm, I'll go watch that a bit later, but I'm sure she does! ;-) Today we basically quoted all of AWE at lunch... and especially the Pintel/Ragetti scenes...

So... what shall we discuss that actually relates to Beckett in some way? :eyeroll:

yeah, just perhaps. :P

yes, yes! Exactly!! Even Barby has a slightly different side that they kind of explore in AWE... blah, maybe it's just me but I like exploring anyone and everyone in PotC! I mean, why not? :P actually you must've not heard the story about Beckett and me... it's kinda funny really. I originally was only playing a joke on the "family" by bringing Beckett in and saying I was gonna marry him.. well, it ended up being cool with the "family" and it wasn't quite the joke I had wanted and from there I started liking him more and more and I finally figured "why shouldn't I marry him afterall?" :P it wasn't quite what you might call "love at first sight".

did ya see it? ;) Oh my goodness! that's awesome!

ummm, how about Beckett quotes? :P those are always fun!

Lol, that is funny! But something good came out of it, savvy? ;-)

I don't get the 'bug' thing, by the way... she didn't look any different... well maybe her eyes were a little wider, but I still don't get it. :confuzzled:

Aye! :pirate: "You can fight and all of you will die, or you can choose to not fight, in which case only most of you will die."

Glad I could amuse you. :P yup, something very good came out of it! we’ve been “married” now for about 7 months! wow, I can hardly believe it’s been that long…

Hmmm, maybe it’s just me. :erm: Teh “Curse of the PD” to notice strange things like that… mostly to torture my brother with. :P I guess to me, yeah, it’s that her eyes seem bigger but the make-up they put on her seems to make her look, I dunno, more like a bug! Lol and she’s tanner or greasier or whatever they tried to make it out to be.

oooo, I can see where this is going... how fun! :bounce:
“They know they face extinction, all that remains is for them to decide where they make their final stand.”

“Oh, is it? That’s annoying, my mistake, arrest her!”

^Just wait until the one year anniversary rolls around! ;-) It'll be one month that Jared and I are married on February 18th (the same day as Edward's Birthday! ). Funny how those things work out, eh? :teehee:

I was looking at some screenshots from that scene and she does look a bit more.. buggish...

"Curious…your friends appear to be quite desperate, Jack. Perhaps they no longer believe that a gathering of squabling pirates can defeat the Flying Dutchman…and so despair leads to betrayal."

That one kinda reminds me of Beckara! :P

I know! I’ll probably be so hyped and yet crying at the same time! Beckett and me one whole year? Wow, that seems so far away! Awww, huzzah!!! So we can celebrate two things on the same day? :bounce: Oh, I know what you mean! :P Like everything good seems to happen to me on the 13th of different months. I have several cases of this and Beckett and my “marriage” is only one. :P

Ok, glad you’re seeing it at least a little bit. ;) so I don’t feel quite as crazy… lol

Ooo, I like that one! :bones:

“The last time I saw that ship it was on fire and sinking.”
^that’s roughly one of the quotes from that Jack and Beckett scene from when Beckett’s looking out the window at the Black Pearl. I just love it! They should’ve kept it in the movie! :erm:

“The immaterial has become… immaterial.”
^very harsh quote toward poor Davy!

I wish I could have been at your wedding... we didn't even know each other back then! :swoon:

Aye, and they say 13 is an unlucky number! Well that's certainly not the case for you! I've found that 9 is my unlucky number for some reason, or anything that ends in a 9... the 19th is when my dog passed away [two years ago - you remember that convo] and the 9th of April 2005 is when I found out I broke my ankle..

2009 is not going to be a good year for me! :hide:

That wasn't in the movie?
Oh, I like the second one! :roflmao:

"Our ships are in pursuit, and justice will be dispensed by cannonade and cutlass, and all manner of remorseless pieces of metal."

^Love it!

Lol, that’s another story altogether. ;) ahhh, my wedding… :teehee: it actually ended up being an elopement. I was able to be on through most of the whole three-way wedding (with Taur and Darky) but then just as I was going down the aisle with them… I had to get off! so the bride ran away halfway down the aisle! Anyway, later on we just decided to elope. ;) although Taur and Darky’s wedding was lovely! it was the perfect wedding… people were there and it was such fun! And poor Beckett… I left him standing there not knowing what to do. :P wow, we didn’t know each other then? although I guess I was thinking of the “you know you’re passionate about Pirates when...” thread the other day and we didn’t know each other then either… it’s weird to read it! ;)

I know! Ha, where does that come from anyway? 13’s not unlucky! Not in my book at least! Wow, 9 is unlucky for you? (yup, I do remember that conversation. :() hmmm, that’s freaky! I don’t think I have a “bad” number.

Nope, it wasn’t. Although it would’ve been cruelly sweet if it had been! :bones:

That’s a great quote too! :teehee: so sneaky and cold. I love it!

“The enemy has opted for oblivion.”
^for some reason I just think the way he says that is so fun! :-D

Oh, that's cool though! Eloping is more romantic anyway! ;-) I'm sure he forgave you though. No, we didn't! When did we meet? :confused2: It seems like I've known you the whole time I've been here, but I know that's not the case...

Well if you don't have a 'bad' number, do you have a favorite? Mine is 11... I don't know why, it just is. :teehee:

I think Beckett should've had more screen time, in DMC especially.

Tom Hollander is such a marvelous actor! They casted him perfectly.

lol, I guess so. ;) Yeah, he did forgive me once I told him the reason I had to leave and everything... he's a very understanding and caring man, you know. :P hmmm, I'm not quite sure actually. :erm: the time seems to blend all together.

a favorite number? ummm, I don't know if I've ever thought of it...

yes, yes, and yes! that would've been SO SWEET! More Beckett!!! Huzzah! :teehee:
Oh, I know! If I could only meet a handful of PotC actors Tom and Jack would be right up there.
