I like the Kane Chronicles too...although not as much as the Greeks by a loong shot

OK, the Sea of Monsters trailer does look A LOT better than The Lightning Thief - I'm actually kind of excited to see how it turns out. Era, I'm not as familiar with the Kane Chronicles (mainly because I haven't had the time to read the whole series), but I read the first book and it seemed pretty good. And a RP sounds like a good idea, although I'm not sure how active I'd be until the summer because I'm really busy at the moment. |

OK then... I'd probably like to play Rachel for my book character (since I think that she's one of the most interesting characters and I can relate to her) and I might make up a character of my own (but I'd have to come up with a bio and everything first). By the way, should we start moving this part of the discussion over to Help and Suggestions in the RPG section of the forum? Just a thought... |

Sorry Era, I guess we got sidetracked by RPG speculations...  You are an important member of the club!  I have mixed feelings about Riordan's new HoO series. I still love it, but I feel like Percy Jackson was much more engaging and fun and that he might be trying to much in his new books. Something that I like more about HoO than Percy Jackson is that we get inside the heads of different characters - that's what really gets me interested and keeps me reading. He drops hints about everyone's past and then makes you keep reading to find out what happened. My favorite character is probably Leo because he's somewhat socially awkward, but he's got a lot of talent and courage hidden underneath. |
