Oh, I'll join! I read *too* much. At least everyone but me thinks so. Books I like... I will read almost anything. I enjoy the Shannara books, LotR, the Narnia books, Redwall, Pride and Prejudice, anything by C. S. Lewis, The Count of Monte Cristo, historical fiction... you name it, I'll read it. ^_^
So, is Eragon good? What exactly is it about? I've heard that it is good and want to read it, but the library near me has almost nothing.

yes, Eragon is an awesome book, a must read for all fantasy lovers. here's what I wrote on it:

Eragon is a young man in the land of Alagaesia who finds one of the all-but-extinct dragon eggs. This discovery soon has an unknown force after him and the now hatched dragon, Saphira. When the enemy kills his uncle, Eragon and Saphira begin a long trek across Alagaesia to hunt down and destroy them. Coming along with the two is Brom, a historian who will teach Eragon to become a powerful Dragon Rider. He also will educate them on who their enemy is: a former Dragon Rider who betrayed and destroyed the legendary group before becoming the ruler of Alagaesia. Brom warns the duo that they will soon have to make the choice weather to join King Galbatorix or fight against him with the Varden.

Oh ya, Brian Jacques is awesome!! I'm readong High Rulhian (sp) right now and its great! :)
And as for as Eragon...it was great too though Paulini kinda copied alittle too much off of LOTR and SW....(Ex. Ardwen Lake, a dwarf god named Morgothal). Other then that, it was good.

hmh... sounds good, but then again not for some reason all tough it`s usually stupid to judge a book series by it`s plot that you get on the internet cause the depth is in the text itself...

Thanks for the overview. It sounds cool. I'll have to borrow it from someone.

Added you to the list. :) I want to get a job at a bookstore next summer. I think that would be really cool.

Anyone have a book or pages per day average? Last month I averaged 2 1/2 bks per day.

I just finished the newest Ted Dekker book, Showdown. Wow, it was sooo awesome. It isn't even officially released yet either. I got a advanced signed copy a couple days ago.

Hehehehe, with all the books I have, I already have my own library! :)
Curunir: Of course you can! You're intelligent enough to read so you're intelligent enough to make good points.

just threw that at ya...

I am currently reading Dragons, the fifth part of the lost histories of Krynn...

That is a Dragonlance book, I suggest you read them... if you like hero`s that aren`t perfect and get captured from time to time :-D The book that I am reading explains the spawn of the dragon bloodlines to the original books...

As some might know the system about the dragons that metallic colours are good and normally coloured are evil, the Good: Copper, Gold, Silver, Bronze and one... other that I can`t translate...

the evil: Red, Green, White, Blue & Black...

anyone read these?
