Hey guys random question - if I make a brush in psp 9, will it work in lower versions?

I think so... I use brushes from other PSP types and they usually work.

I;ve got more than I thought, I've just worked out how to animate and that it only really likes gif files. 
EDIT: Anyone know any good Paintbrush sites??  _________________
