I love baseball!!!
I've never officially played, but I LOVE to watch it.
My favorite teams are the Mariners (go Ichiro!) and the Red Socks.
I greatly dislike the yankees and the white sox.

Hmm.. Summers are much different for me.
Hot days. Swimming. Hanging out. Stuff like that. No baseball, sorry.

But baseball is your friend!
I love ball! I never actually play, but my brother is one of the best players in the state. I go to support him and see the bf.

I like playing baseball, but watching it isn't entertaining to me.

It's great to watch if you ask me. I mean, you can have full conversations and still not miss a thing! I love it!
Not to mention I get free food. I love babysitting for the coach and having my brother as the best player in the area. Big plus for me.

Baseball isn't like cricket.
Cricket, I get bored of in about two seconds. No variety, really. Sure, the ball gets hit to a different place, but *shrug* There are only two places to get out, not four.
I love watching baseball ('specially mariners or red socks), but playing... even though I'm not that great, I absolutely luuuuuuurv to play. My pitching (underhand, I daren't do it overhand without giving the batter a bruise), is getting rather good, and my fielding is fine as long as I don't have to cover the whole field, which is how most family games go, it's always just 3 or 4 of us. And when I hit the ball, it goes far, but I'm working on getting it going far on the ground so I can't get out by someone catching it. That happens waaay too often.
Whenever people at youth group start playing cricket, we always pull out a hackey sack, grab someone's shoe, set bases, and play. Then once at the Dubai Little League field during a softball game (we'd already sat through one, had to wait through the other before we went home), there were about 6 of us older girls so we grabbed an extra ball and tossed it around, throwing it to hit it and running around the bases. In the rain.
A day to remember.

I love playing baseball...I'm a great 3rd baseman. Not to be conceded. I was on a co-ed team, and I was on 3rd. I could throw guys out at first.
I don't play anymore, unfortunately.

In Dubai softball only goes to 14 (grrr...), and other than that it's all-guys baseball. Well, mostly guys. A few girls play, but I wouldn't feel comfortable unless there was at least another girl on my team, and I wouldn't know until after I'd already signed on.

Hey guys. I know I haven't been here in a while but I'm gonna' try to just jump right in.
I adore baseball! I've never played it but for 10 years I've been playing it's close alternative, softball. I'm pretty good too, but the only reason I couldn't play baseball is because I would never be able to hit the ball.

Yeah, that's what makes softball so much easier. It's just like, underhand ball, whack it, the end.
Baseball, though... I've got no expirience with overhand stuff, because my brother *tries* to pitch overhand... and it basically hits my arm instead of the bat.
So we stick to underhand when we bat.

I can't throw underhand. I always whip overhand all over when we play back yard. I can actually throw it well, but my aim is awful.
We were at a wonder works and they had a machine that you could throw at and it would tell you how fast you threw, and when I really chucked it I amost tied the brother with a 90 mph ball. I think it read it wrong though, because I couldn't do it again.
My arm still hurts sometimes, too, because I killed it when I did that. Oops.

I don't know how fast my overhand goes sometimes, I just know fast enough to hurt real bad. So I don't do it.

We almost went to a baseball game on Friday night.
But guess what?
It was pouring rain.
Phooey.
We're not doing much for the fourth, it's the day before we leave back to Dubai.
