Oh dear... the stupid lies and rumors are even over here? Well, this has already been discussed in the AWE thread but the conclusion has been that Disney has had their way with the end. And that little booklet... well, I basically throw that out... many of the answers are very vague or not even answered anyway. :annoyed2: Multiple times T&T have been asked about the end and every time they answer that Will is freed from the Dutchman after ten years. If he wasn't than why would true love with Lizzie matter like they made it out to in the movie? Either way he could only come on land once ever ten years.... so who cares if Liz was true? :eyeroll: so, yeah, I read that paper and just about died of laughter after realizing it was a Disney thing.... I will, to my grave, trust T&T over whatever rubbish Disney tries to make us think, and T&T’s original end was to have Will be free. And that end should've never been messed with... (Disney did the same thing with increasing the whole hype over the Jack/Elizabeth junk too *sigh*)

Sorry if that sounds very anti-Disney but that is the answer that is logical from what I've gotten from all that I've read. Sorry, that I'm not a blind follower behind Disney and whatever they say goes. :P I like thinking for myself and doing my own research... and that tis about what I came up with on what T&T have to say on the subject. It's just stupid to have Will and Elizabeth not end up together anyway because I do think then that to poor Liz it would be just as if Will was dead. :eyeroll: anyway, no offence is meant to anyone by that... it's just sometimes Disney can get under my skin with some of their schemes... any other time I'm just fine with them, but when they start messing with my Pirates and the perfect art T&T put together... well :karate:

Aramel, glad to hear that! :-D Well, you know why Barby did that, don't you? ;) the poor guy!

I guess when you look at it that way it doesn't. :) whatever you're happy with.... I suppose I just like to have it right there with me. All of it. and I like the case better for the two-disc edition. :P

goldelf, a three disc edition? that sounds interesting... you'll have to tell us what you find. :)

^ok i'll go with that.it doesnt make a whole lot of sense but then if it actually made sense it wouldnt be PotC would it? besides, the ending is a bit happier that way.

^lol, well, most of the reason it probably doesn't make much sense is because my mind isn't exactly 100% at the moment. ;) I really need sleep or... something. anyway, also sometimes I get an idea in my head and it makes sense when I think about it but when I try to explain it it gets all muddled up. :erm: still basically it's:
Disney wanted the end one way (the different way from how the writers wrote it) so they simply changed it to fit their stupid wants. :annoyed2:

I'm sorry, Cal, this will look like a stupid question (probably because the answer is incredibly obvious), but what is T&T?

Well, I know with LOTR, PJ had some different ideas (such as having 2 movies instead of 3) but the production companies usually get their way. But if there is ANYONE saying that Will is free, I don't care who it is, I would rather believe that than Disney's vague and disappointing and rather unclear answer. They didn't make that bit very clear.

Ah I see. That thought crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure.

Ah, my two disc is good enough.

I completely agree with your 'mini-novel' PD. :P Why should Disney [even though they control things and all] mess with T&T's script? It's not like it was going to harm anyone or put bad ideas into their heads - it actually just makes things worse! :annoyed: Then they make it sound like Will and Lizzy will never be together and... :explode:

Sometimes Disney makes me so angry! :grr:

Aye, I'm pretty content though with the one disk and of COURSE I know why he did that - it had to hurt so bad... :swoon: But it was sorta funny... Shame on me for laughing at Barbossa. :P

Just to be clear then, Will is freed after 10 years? I heard that, but wasn't sure if it were true! lol :]

sorry, I wondered later if everyone was clear on what T&T meant.

But I am in total agreement with you, Millie! Disney was extremely vague in all their answers so you know what? why go with them? And you have a good point about all the production companies having their foot in. :eyeroll:

hmmm, I think I'm perfectly happy with the 2-disc edition I have as well. :-D

Aramel, Thank you... gee, when I'm done on AU I will have written so many novels it'll go down in history. lol they totally shouldn't! Disney should've just backed off and realized the writers know what they're doing and the writers know what the crowd wants. *shakes head sadly* and, yeah, it does make things a LOT worse. I really wish I could get into the mind of whoever runs that part of Disney and see what exactly they were thinking of when they wanted to change that end. :yeahright:

I'm actually quite pleased now. I watched AWE yesterday and I found a perfect quote to say whenever something is brought up about Disney wanting Will to only be able to come back once every ten years... here it tis:

"Utterly deceptive twaddle speak, says I"

the perfect Jack quote to fit that rubbish.

 I figured you would. ;) aye! Although I did noticed Barby is really holding his own against Jack... for a while he's actually only pulling on the wheel with one hand while Jack's using two. Go Barbossa!

Amoniel, hello! :bye2: and a very big "AYE"! I don't care what Disney says the writers say that Will is free after ten years...

And the 2 disc is great.

I now officially HATE Disney. How could they even TRY to take Will out?

Yeah. It's so sad, though! What if someone blew up the Dutchman? Would that kill Will? LOL Sorry for the randomness. I'm just trying to think of any possible way that he could shirk being bound forever.

 Sorry, that made me laugh in an "Oh how horrible that makes me cry but it's kind of funny" way, if that makes any sense at all. :teehee: Something tells me that since the Dutchman's kind of a supernatural ship, you kind of can't destroy it with simple things like bombs. But I might be wrong. :P

I like that quote! And it does fit perfectly. *nodnod*

Oh really? I didn't notice that! More power to Barbossa!

Amoniel, glad to here that, dear! :-D you’re very welcome!

Millie, awww, thank you! I'm happy you like it... *smiles over at Ara* she made it for me! :-D

now, now, Disney still has put out many great movies and such. ;) don't necessarily "hate" them as a whole... just hate them for doing what they did to our Pirates. ;)

Anie, hehe, thanks! :P Aye! That's kinda what I thought too! Lol although I guess that's more like throwing T&T's words right back at Disney... but the moment I heard that I was like "that fits so perfectly it'd be a sin NOT to use it!" :P awwww, I made my niece proud!

thank you. I'm glad you like it too... :P

Aramel, lol, oh, yes and it oculd be titled: The Many Rants and Raves of PD on the Constant Annoyances Disney Forces On Her and Her Friends. :P

hmmm, maybe they did it for that. :erm: I truly don't know what their reasoning was... maybe they were just bored one day.

thanks! :teehee:

ahhh, you learn something new every day. ;) aye, aye! More power to Barby! :bounce:

I've never actually been a big fan of Disney, but you do have a point. Very well. I shall recant. XD
