Happy belated 4th!
I watched fireworks with my friend last night. The whole place smelled like bug repellent. And all these ghetto people kept wandering in front of us and dancing.

Oh! I hung out with my friends and watching fireworks. There was a little bit of rain, but it was still fun!

I would've taken "ghetto people" (which isn't stereotyping at all ) over the people behind us. We had the Dukes of Hazard in lawnchairs hanging about and hollering the whole time.
Gotta love America, right? Diversity = Awskem.
We took a video of the firework display. It was amazing. Perhaps I'll post the video...

Well.. America is described as the Melting Pot, which it is getting more and more like.
Oh! That would be awesome!

I'll see if my dad's gotten it off the camera, smeag. If not, we'll have to wait until tonight.
Also, be looking in the writing section for a little essay I'm working on. It's what I remember of 9/11 as a little girl in Panama City. It's got things like remembering the sounds of the crafts from Tyndall roaring over the house and the like.
It's to be titled "Understanding and Comprehending"

Shall do. What I remember from 9/11 is that I didn't know what happened. Our teachers hid it from us, and I first found out when I spent the night at my friend's house.

I was a little girl at the time, and my memories are actually quite interesting... at least to me. That might be because they're mine, though.
How's about not keeping up this conversation here, eh? Perhaps PM, if you'd like?
The video is still on the camera... but trust me when I say they were amazing! They were playing songs like God Bless America and the anthem the whole time, and the fireworks would explode perfectly in time with the music... It was so beautiful! I was almost moved to tears so many times... The sense of pride from the crowd was simply over-powering!

Yeah, that is probably a good idea.
I believe you. I have seen some amazing fireworks. Mainly because I have the ability to go to Disney World.

I wanted to stay for fireworks the one time I went to Disney, but my aunt had a headache and wouldn't leave anyone at peace so we went home. Fooey on those aunties. *pout* And that was the only chance I had!

It's just not the same as in person, ya know? I'd rather go see fireworks in person even if they aren't as good because they're just plain better that way.

I would rather light the firework.
Pyromaniac, I know.

I'm not allowed around fireworks or fire or ovens...anything hot really, because I've burnt myself numerous times, and I actually lit my cousin's hair on fire once. Needless to say, I had a very uneventful 4th this year.
Come to think of it, I'm not allowed around power tools either. I am rather accident prone.

^Don't worry, they don't let me set off fireworks anymore, either, Tar. Something about not wanting a repeat of the time I set my aunt's dog on fire.
Sissy dog. I do hate him. He deserved to burn. *cackle*
Carry on, ladies. *cough*

I do not believe that I have ever lit anything on fire besides fireworks and wood. So, sadly, I do not have any interesting stories to tell...
Isn't July 4th not really independence day or something? Like, the Declaraction of Independence wasn't wholely signed that day. History majors! We need your help!
