*claps for Noldor* Welcome
So, since we should probably talk about Galadriel since this is the Galadriel Club. Just to start things off, What is your favorite scene with Galadriel.

Okay, so I'm sorry for being pretty inactive, but I hope that I'll get around to posting here once in a while.

And in answer to Itarildë's question, I don't really have a favorite Galadriel scene, but some of my favorite quotes are these:

"May it be a light to you in dark places where all other lights go out."
and this:
"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future."

fav qoute:
You have your own choice to make, Aragorn. To rise above the height of all your fathers since the days of Elendil, or to fall into darkness with all that is left of your kin.

Why i like her:
She's an elf, she's beautiful, one of the bearers to bear a ring of powers. and she's just so sweet, and nice. (at times)

I love that scene too. But lately I've been loving the scene at the very end of ROTK when she's boarding the Last Ship. Just the relief and softness that you didn't see earlier from her is so refreshing, I just love it.

Hmm, how about I awaken this sleeping club with a good, old-fashioned fan-rant, eh? *laughs*

Galadriel is my favorite elf, in the whole of the LotR series. Why? Well some reasons are obvious; she is beautiful [she was sort of this strange, enchanting look about her that I do not think any could resist], she is wise [can any match the advice she gives Frodo, or compare to the mark she leaves upon him?], her words are beautiful [ever noticed how Galadriel in the book AND movie, gets these beautiful, poetically-scripted lines, that just stir and warm ones heart?], and she is powerful... I believe she, out of all the elves, does not even know her own power.

Galadriel is a heroine in an unknown sense, she is a type and she is original. She is also rather contradictory, come to think of it; she speaks comfort and confusion to Frodo, she isn't exactly angelically loving like Arwen, nor dashingly brave like Eowyn. She is more... subtle, and complicated. I love just studying and thinking about her character... it is so complex in some ways.

Oh, by the way, her voice. *gulp* Rather gives one good bumps, does it not?

She did a beautiful job for a character that wasn't in the movies a whole bunch. She did a good job making the character memorable without overpowering any of the qualities.
The one thing she did that I really love is her voice. I just love the slight accent she has and the way it sounds. :D

Goodie! I love fan-rants!! :)

Her voice definetly brings something unique, its almost as if she doesn't use it very often, but can bring a whole arena to stillness with its depth. I love her lines most of all, like you said, she get very poetic and beautifully written parts. They always have something meaningful behind them.

In the movie, I love the outfits she gets to wear! <3

oh huzzah of huzzah-ness, this club has been revived! XD
Aye, her outfits are the BEST! The one she greets the fellowship in is so white... and lacy. Mm.
