I know how to make an enigma machine out of cardboard, thats just as effective as the typewriter. I'm pretty spy obsessive, I have a loada books on those kinda things. I'll look through and find a easy code.

Its a code machine, used by the germans in the world wars. It looked and worked like a typewriter, you typed the message in you want, but it would print out something entiely different. BUt if someone with an enigma machine set in the same way typed in the message they recieved, it would print out making sense. You can make a simple one outta cardboard.

Copied from my spy book:

1)Draw 3 circles, each one 2.5 cm smaller than the last and cut them out.

2)On each circle, make 2 degree divisions untiill its cut into 3 slices

3)On the largest of the discs, write the numbers 1 to 30 on the segments, they don't have to be in order

4)On the smallest disk, write the alphabet, as you'll have four blank divisions, write yes on ones, no on another, a space on one and a ull stop on the last.

5)On the middle disk, write numbers and letters alternating, A, 1, B, 2 etc. up to Q 15

6Make a hole through the center f each disc and place a split pin through them

How to use it:
Set your enigma machine so a on the small disc is equal to any random number on the outside, and tell the person your sending it to this number, so they can seet up their enigma machine. Now simply read of the numbers corresponding to the letters. You can make a super uncrackable cipher by alternating which disc you read the code of, the larger one then the middle one. Only people with an enigma machine set in the same way csan crack it.

Welcome, Riniel!

After a weekend retreat jam packed with physical activity and nights spent talking, I'm wiped out!
I feel...powerless. It's so scary!
