Oh, yeah, Will looks better in DMC, can't say for Orlando, I don't pay that much attention to actors, just characters, but in the CotBP will was kinda the "dork", just a boy who happened to know how to weild a sword well, and be in love with lizzie. Untill the ending when he gets all heroic all of a sudden. But in DMC he is more, grown up, like you said, he understands pirate ways, and is less....naieve(sp?!?)....though he is still a little too trusting of Jack, he leared his lesson well.

exactly in the beginning of CotBP (especially when I first saw it) it was predictable that he'd fall for Elizabeth, and he just seemed to me this poor (not poor as not having money but like "aww..." ) and pathetic boy who tried his best to get attention. cute

I've always described him in CotBP as a loveable dork. He's so dorky and naive, but so sweet and almost like a little boy.
Between the two movies you can definately tell that Orlando aged. He looks considerably older in DMC.
I'm not sure which way I like him better. I really like him in CotBP, because he's so sweet and passionate at the same time. But then in DMC, I like him because he's the only person I can still cheer for, and he matures into someone brave and courageous and ready to die for what he wants to achieve.
Generally, Will is my favorite character, and always, always will be.

he does grow up, and i like it, hes not as stupid or as playeable as he was in CotBP, now, he refuses to help people and isn't afaid to whack them over the head if they're bothing him, hes much more...commanding...

I see what you guys are saying. In the first movie, he was like a little brother. Very good at taking orders and doing only what he had to do. But in the second movie, he's better at making his own desicions and is much more stronger mentally that he was before.

Well, more people were more demanding of him....like Beckett wanting the Compass.....he had to follow orders....in order to get Lizzie out of jail. If he said no, Lizzie would face the Gallows and we wouldn't want that would we love?

I agree whole-heartedly. I really liked Will in DMC better. He's a great actor. And is really really hot.

I think I still like the CotBP Will better. I don't know why but there's nothing wrong with the DMC Will either 8) Isn't it so that in CotBP in the caves where Barbossa&co was Jack whacked Will unconcious so that he wouldn't 'do anything stupid'. but in the end he wakes up and saves the day

Well, it's Will that knocks out Jack in CotBP . But then in DMC Jack returns the favor.

I'm not an Orlando fan, so I don't have much of a preference with looks. His voice, however, was really bothering me in DMC.

*pops in* Ah, talking about Will. Good, good.
I felt sorry for Will in DMC...he goes to rescue his love, gets tricked onto Davy's ship, finds his long-lost dad (which has GOT to be a shock), comes back and has to fight the Kraken and fish-pirates; and on top of it all, he sees Elizabeth, who's basically the reason he did it all, kissing another man! I mean, you can hardly blame the guy for ANYTHING he does from now on, he's had it so rough.
