I've seen it! I bought it yesterday! I went out during lunch break and bought and was consequently 10 minutes late for class but it was SO worth it! I'm so excited, I think I'll make this post coloured! And I finally saw Willabeth's kid OMGOSH he is cute! I bought the two-disk DVD with the special features on the second disk because I was THAT excited, which was half of my bus money, XD But I can handle a yelling from my parents because it was worth it and now I'm babbling. Sorry.

I got it! I got it! I got it yesterday on my lunch break! I took a bus to the nearest mall and bought it with half of my bus ticket money, XD. But I don't care, because it was worth it! I got the one with two DVDs, the other being the bonus features. I finally saw Willabeth's child! *squee* He is so cute!

Calloniel (PD) wrote: ah, suit yourself then. But you'll never know what you're missin' out on. Rum Therapy... lol that's what my brother said it should be called. And I rather like it. Oooo, that's fantastic for you Anie! huzzah! I hope everything will work out in the end.... even with the homework.
aye, that works for me.
no, no challenge at all there.... "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass me by." is that not the quote? It's one of the best Jack quotes I can think of.... thanks for the warning.... it's always appreciated although I'm pretty sure I can handle it. aye, you need to get on the ball here, Pip. it's always about the Will pics.... Oooo, sounds lovely! (although it must be an old book then if it only had CotBP pics in it?)
ok... yes, I totally do plan to read it! how could I miss out on something like that? no, I won't run away at all... (even if it might take a little bit of time for me to read it. ) still...
I know this isn't the place BUT I just have to share this! today I found an awesome new book at Target! The cover says Pirates of the Caribbean and it has the skull and cross-swords on it but on the inside it's like those books that have little things that open up and have letters and it's like a scrapbook type of thingy... anyway, it's inside title is something like The East India Trading Company's Private Letters or Guide or something... anyway, it was all written from an EITC official's POV... and it was so amusing (it was kinda like the Mr. Gibbs book only the opposite being from Englands POV... (you know the one )) to read the part about Beckett and how wonderful a man he was and how the loss of him is mourned. I kinda wanted it just because those neat, scrapbooky type of books with the pop-out things and little neat letters and papers and everything that open always attract me because they're fun... but it was 18 dollars I didn't have to spend on it, so not today. Anyway, I think those things are some of the neatest Disney has made for PotC... I love how that one and the Mr. Gibbs one are "written" by fictional people from that time... they just have a different and fun feel about them, you know? It's kinda hard to describe but I like how they're like just another perspective to the movie from it's actual characters not written about the movie from an actual writer... (and I'm always up for more junk that makes the characters more personified and unique) anyway, hope that made sense.... lol Rum Therapy, eh? Hmm, somehow it sounds a bit...dangerous...especially since I know how I get when I'm on caffiene. I don't think I want to know how I act when I'm drunk on rum! But thanks for trying anyway. Thanks! Yeah, it did work out nicely - I did most of my homework before I left for Target after dinner and the rest while I was watching. And fortunately I didn't mix up my Pirates and my Spanish! Good job! I'm so proud! Isn't it? And easily adaptable too. Yeah, I'd have to agree with you, but after all, at the time of printing (around early 2004 or really late 2003 I'd guess) DMC and AWE weren't out yet so it was 3 Rings to 1 Pirates and so the Rings section of the book got more pages and pictures. But they're very pretty pictures so I don't mind too much. I'm glad to hear it! Thanks for not running like a startled rabbit. Ooh, I like that book! It's sooo pretty! I was persuing through it at Target a couple weeks ago, when I was there with my mom, and going "OOH, pretty!" I love the quote about Elizabeth: "A lady she may be, but a lady she is not." I may just use that on a banner or something sometime, because I just love it! I also squeed a little bit when I read "it is suspected that [Will and Elizabeth] have a child together." It made me very happy. I just wish there had been a bit more about Norrie in there...and a nicer picture of him. Poor fellow, I think they must've picked one of the lesser quality paintings because I found myself asking, "What, that's Norrie?! No it isn't!" But overall, very nice book. If I had $20 it would be mine... Miluiel Evenstar wrote: I finally saw Willabeth's child! *squee* He is so cute!
Isn't he just the cutest thing ever? I think he really does look like Keira and Orlando...as I've said before, if Keira was 10 years older I'd be a tad suspicious concerning that boy's parents. But anyway, Disney really hit the nail on the head in casting Dominic Scott Kay as William James Turner III. And he had a nice voice too. I'd like to see him in 10 years, haha.

Calloniel (PD) wrote: Ooo, huzzah, Millie! (and I can tell you were rather excited ) That's wonderful! So what do you think about the rest of it? Ooo *high fives* I got the two-disc set too (although I had saved my B-Day money for it )! I loved the "Two captains, one ship" deleted scene! and the case is really nice too!
HAHA I know! It didn't add to the plot, but it was still funny, as was, "I Like Riddles". Yes, I was rather ecstatic when I wrote that, XD. I thought the movie was fantastic. Different from the first, but good in its own way. My mother hated it, but that didn't dampen my spirits at all. The case is so pretty! With all of the little spirals...It really stands out next to my other two cases. I got the limited edition of CotBP as well, so DMC is the only one I don't have in limited edition, which is something I intend to remedy. Or did they not make a limited edition for DMC? Anyway, I adore the special features disc. I loved everything on it. My brother found it boring, but I loved watching "The Anatomy of a Maelstrom" and "Keith and the Captain: On Set With Johnny Depp and the Rock Legend". But the bloopers were absolutely hilarious. I've watched them at least a dozen times. And by the way, the Chinese runes above the skull on the paper that came with it read, "Good luck Captain Jack". I asked my Chinese friend Helen, XD.
I hosted a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon party on Friday. It took forever to get through all three, XD. And we were all a bit hyper because I served a little bit too much pop. So, quite literally, we all did this --> at a funny bit, which was quite often. But everyone had a marvellous time anyway.

Ooh, they do?! Awesome! (I'm half Chinese, but I can't read a bit of it. )
I'm gonna do that next week! That sounds like fun! XD

Oh really? LOL
Yeah it was SOOOO much fun. I'm going to do another one over the Christmas break, and try to have a LOTR one, but those take SO long because I never watch the non-extended. I've done it before, but I haven't done it in a few years.

Millie, that was a pretty funny scene too. although I still prefer the "two captains, one ship" one. aye, that's the conclusion my brother and I came to... AWE took you on a more worldly ride and it wasn't centered so much in the Caribbean... my bro didn't like that part of it as much, but it really doesn't bother me much. eh, just the other day my brother tried to defend Pirates when my mom and dad said it wasn't nearly as good as... ahem, LotR... they didn't ever believe him. now to me, Pirates is almost every bit as good and *prepares to hide* I actually really like the characters a lot more. They just seem more personal to me. but at any rate at least my mom and dad still somewhat enjoy it. aye, DMC has a limited edition dvd as well... I have that one and the AWE one... my CotBP one is just the plan, dull looking one in the group. The DMC and AWE cases are so pretty and sparkly! I wuve the 3Dishness! Oh, of course! I read that it said that on some website long ago! but it is pretty neat... although I wish it would've said "Good luck pirates" because really the movie wasn't all about Jack... now THAT sounds like some fun! Hehe
Man, you’re making me feel left out since none of my friends really like Pirates!
Anie, Aye, Rum Therapy. eh, but rum it totally different from caffeine, dear Anie... so you might act better on it ("...but I doubt it." there's a quote for you! ) lol anyway, it sounds just perfect for Jack! you're welcome! yup, that sounds like it did work out perfectly for you! But you waited that long!? I barley lasted the morning before I HAD to go out to get it!
Awww, well, thank you! That's kinda what I figured... although it's still sad that Pirates didn't get as much... and then that also means it didn't mention Kingdom of Heaven, Elizabethtown or Troy, did it?
Nope, not at all.
Awesome! *high fives* glad that you've seen it too! What just going by that section with my bro one day and it caught my eye (as all things Pirates do ) and I had to pick it up... I didn't catch the quote about Elizabeth! (that would be great on a siggy! ) man, I really need to see it again! I only had time to just skim through it! Oh, I did see that quote and I was excited that the whole book was so up-to-date! It was so fun! hmmm, I don't remember seeing a whole lot on Norrie as I looked through... just a tad (and I do remember thinking the pic for him stunk ).. and they probably also made him out to be a traitor or something (because it WAS written by the English you know ). But I guess I wouldn't mind that because it adds character to the book. Ahh, yes, if only, if only... *sigh* I would ask for it for Christmas, but I've already asked for a book I'm in love with a WHOLE lot more! The "Bring Me That Horizon: The Making of Pirates of the Caribbean" book... I just love the pics and everything about it! and it talks about ALL the characters and their actors (I think) at least a little. (even Becky has like two full pages... sqweeee!!!)
btw, I DID like the Becky picture in that one book... the same one Jack tries to pose to in AWE! I always find is so amusing to look at Becky there. He just looks so stuck up standing there in front of his flag with his cane! It makes me laugh! sorry, Becky!

You're probably right. And you used a Barbossa quote too!! That's a gold star for you! I barely survived...
You're very welcome. It mentioned Kingdom of Heaven and Troy, but no Elizabethtown. Which might be okay, seeing as it's kind of a weird movie anyway...you either like it or you don't, I think. An acquired taste.
Of course ye did! What kind of Pirates fan would ye be if'n ye passed up a perfectly good Pirates book? Isn't that a fun quote? They must've published it just after AWE came out, because it's obviously set after it... Poor Norrie, he didn't get much at all! Just a mention on the back cover, and one picture (I'm glad you agree that it wasn't very good). Ooh... MUST GO LOOK FOR BOOK! *runs out of thread to Amazon*
Ah, yes, I had a good laugh when I saw that picture. I was like, "That looks familiar..." Well, at least your husband got some mention...as I recall mention of the Pearl's crew was scant at best.

Ugh I hated Elizabethtown. I didn't like Kingdom of Heaven or Troy that much either.
I saw the Pirates books for sale at Blockbuster today. I hope to buy them later. At the moment I've no money from all the Christmas shopping, LOL.

Anie, awww, man, thanks for bringing this sorta back to life!
thanks! a gold star! *shows it off proudly*
awww, I'm sorry to hear that! Poor Elizabethtown! I personally loved the movie... and it wasn't THAT weird. Better than Troy or Kingdom of Heaven... both of those were ok... just not my kind of movie really.
lol, nice pirate speech. but you're totally right!!! yeah, I hadn't seen it til just recently so that's what I figured too... I mean they wouldn't put all that info out BEFORE AWE came out to theaters. yes, you really do need to see Bring Me That Horizon!!!!!!! I got it for Christmas and it is AWESOME! I love my Becky!
aye, my husband did get a good mention... and the pic is the best! Although I never realized that's suppose to be the globe he's standing on. Very interesting. awww, I'm sorry Rags didn't get more mention!
Millie, *dies* you hated Elizabethtown?! Wow!!!!
that's cool! And at least your Blockbuster actually carries Pirates stuff... ours is filled to the brim with Shrek things and that's just about it.
LoR, hi and welcome!! Make yourself at home!

You're added to the list, LadyOfRohan
I actually haven't seen Elizabethtown or Troy or Kingdom of Heaven - I'm really not a fan of Kirsten Dunst, but I'd like to see the other two, Kingdom of Heaven particularly.
