Well, I believe that they knew him when he wasn't under Saruman's spell, but I'm not sure. I tried to find out when Grima became his councelor (sp?) but I couldn't find it... Anyone who knows?

i think they did know Grima before that. maybe...cuz wasn't Rohan allie's with Saruman until he betrayed them?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure...I think he was allies with Rohan...

Yes, actually, Grima was once a "Man of Rohan", but Saruman seduced him with power, and the promise he could get Eowyn.  blech. _________________ <center> all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us

yeah, but you know.. if Gandalf hadn't healed Theoden, Grima would probably have got Eowyn and nothing could've been done about it. Eomer would've been killed if he tried to do anything whatsoever and so would Theoden once Saruman and Grima had enough power. Gandalf is the big hero

Yes, that's right! Without Gandalf whole Middle Earth would be breaking apart, and Éowyn would have never get happy in her life!
