ha so many people seem to have been mega Orlando fans a couple years back but have now moved on.nothing wrong with that but i am still the same fan as i was then.i'm a fangirl but only in the sense that i'm a fan of Orlando and i'm a girl.the dreaded fangirls seem to have such bad reputations dont they? just because they squeel a lot,is it?
i'm a fan of many things,i actually have quite a list going(i call them my unhealthy obsessions)and it keeps getting longer.LotR and Pirates are both,of course,on that list.
Welcome aboard Captain Barbossa!

Thanks for the welcome goldelf. Yeah I guess that is probably why fangirls have a bad reputation. I know how you feel with your list. Mine keeps growing also. I guess it is better to be obsessed with a lot of things, than not have any interests. :-D

I don't know what it is either. Orlando's really starting to loose his charm or something.

I agree, I think it is better by far to have many interests. :) It makes life a little more interesting.

That is why I am a fan of Will Turner and Legolas, not Orlando Bloom. To me characters and actors can be very much separate. Actors always seem to disappoint, the characters do not.

It makes it more interesting indeed.

yeah, just look at KEira Knightley and the films she's been in. *shudders*; I don't like her in particular but Elizabeth is another story. :)

although, now, I'm starting to lean more towards Ben Barnes *Caspian*; oh boy, here I go again. :p :D

Absolutely Petra. Keira Knightley's other films are simply horrid. :annoyed: She always seems to manage to be immodest in all of them. Elizabeth however, is my all time favorite character. She does make mistakes, but overall is a moral character.

Keira Knightley's my favourite actress, but for her acting, not her morals, or seemingly, her lack thereof. I agree, the vast majority of her movies are completely disappointing, but she does have some good ones, namely Bend it Like Beckham, Princess of Thieves, Pride & Prejudice...

As for Orlando Bloom, he's done a number of disappointing things in the recent past, which certainly helped to kill my fangirl-ness. I still like his acting, but I really don't like the person himself anymore.

Definitely Miluiel. I never said that Knightley was not one of the best actresses out there, I simply don't like her morals. Ah, yes I think I forgot that she does have some other movies that are good. Maybe that is because I am a guy, and some of those movies are girl movies.

I agree with you on Bloom 100%. (although I was never a fangirl)

Haha, I should hope not! :P

I agree, she definitely has a lot of girly movies. My father and brother can't stand Pride & Prejudice for that reason, haha. But she's a great actress, just with some seriously flawed morals, especially regarding modesty, but then again, Hollywood on the whole doesn't seem to have an understanding of the word "modesty".

Yeah, I have never had a desire to watch Pride and Prejudice, but I imagine she does a good job in that movie.

That is definitely true. It is unfortunate that everyone in Hollywood has to be immodest. :annoyed2:

well, I don't know if I'd consider Bend it Like Beckham a GOOD movie...I watched part of it and I believe I heard Knightley's character spout both the s-word and the f-word, as well as a couple of b-words in about one to two sentences. Pride and Prejudice was okay....I found it unbelievably boring and slow. I haven't seen Princess of Thieves, but I've wanted too...did you know Keira was also in Star Wars Episode I?

Image *sory if it's fuzzy; i had the darndest time getting it uploaded!*...it's kind of hard to watch PIrates 1 after seeing her in SW episode I; it's just odd, lol.

Yeah I did know that Petra. It is kind of strange indeed. I always think of her as Elizabeth Swann, not someone from Star Wars.

@Petra: Really? I don't recall that...I can remember her saying all of them, except for the f-word...

I really don't like Star Wars, but my brother loves it, so I've seen it...I didn't know it was her until a few years ago, though. She was very young when she did that, I gather.

@CB: Haha, yeah, I can see how a guy in particular wouldn't really be motivated to watch it, lol.

I agree. In a way, they have to sell their bodies, so I can understand why they dress the way they do, but if that's the case, I think girls need new role models.

I agree Miluiel. It is a shame that actresses need to do that to be popular. People should like them for their talent, not for how attractive they are. It saddens me to see that they are role models for girls. There are so many better role models than actresses.
