YouTube. For serious.

Yeah, I'm a little sad, because a while ago someone posted some videos they took of the filming for Season 3. And now I can't find them. :(

That's so sad...but at least we know they've started filming *grumbles about new season not starting until next spring* Rawr!

But yeah....I am now officially in love with the Torchwood soundtrack. It has some of the best music I've ever heard, not even kidding. "Owen Fights Death" may be my favorite song ever!

Oh my god. Owen's Theme is probably the best song in that entire soundtrack. Swiftly followed by Captain Jack's theme and Goodbyes and Death of Toshiko. Ianto has a small theme in "Another Day, Another Death", I believe. But Owen's Theme = PURE LOVE. Matches him perfectly.

(Still hasn't gotten over Owen's death)

Really? Do you know at what part in the song Ianto has his theme?

I'm still sad about Tosh and Owen's death. Grrrrr..

Holy frick on a stick Caunion, your avvie moves! That freaked me out for awhile. Now tell me, how unobservant am I? I know you've had that avvie for awhile, but has it always moved? I just noticed it about a week ago.

Haha, yes, it HAS always moved. I remember when he made it. We were talking on MSN about it. :D

And I needs Torchwood.

"Owen Fights Death" is nothing less than epic. The other songs are fabulous, but "Owen Fights Death" is simply breathtaking.

By the way Lothie, who's that in your sig? She looks a lot like Gwen, only with short hair.

Just a quick FYI for you guys- According to Captain Jack himself (John Barrowman), season three is going to air sometime in June of the coming year. Still an agonizingly long wait :annoyed:, but at least we have a firm month now 8}. You can find that, along with a paraphrase of what else he said, here: http://discussion.bbcamerica.com/jiveforums/thread.jspa?threadID=8563&tstart=0 .

JUNE! I thought it was supposed to be sometime in Spring. Grrrrr. That makes me angry. But at least there's a date.

*explodes* I got the Torchwood Soundtrack! Heck yes I did. I'm so happy. I listen to it A LOT. Such good music.

I also bought the Torchwood magazine from the local bookstore, and the cashier just happened to love Torchwood as well. We got to talking about it. Fun times. She's a Ianto fan, just like me!

Honestly, who ISN'T a Ianto fan? Honestly, they can never get rid of him, because the fangirls (aka everyone that watches the show) would have a FIT.

A correction about what's in that link I posted yesterday- the mention of June as the month season three will air is not in there, it was in a different interview cited in a different topic on that same forum. What is in there are a few somewhat spoilery things. Nothing too major, but spoilery nonetheless. If anything, what John Barrowman is paraphrased as saying might provide some new things to speculate about on here . Sorry about the mix-up !

Too true, too true ;). I remember reading a post in another forum that said originally, Ianto was the character who was supposed to be killed off towards the end of season two, but for exactly the reason you state, Owen and Tosh were substituted instead. Hopefully, the writers will decide to keep Ianto in the series. Hmmm..., actually, IMO anyway, getting rid of another main character would be overdoing it (and that includes Gwen, in spite of the fact that certain members of the Torchwood fan base can't stand her), and a bad idea all around. Getting rid of two was more than enough, I think :erm:.

Haha, what a kick in the teeth to the actors though, honestly. "Well, Ianto was the one that was supposed to die, but honestly, the fans like him too much, so we're going to kill you two off instead, because no one cares about either of you." Ouch.

I was also reading though that they chose Owen to die and come back because he was the Doctor, so it would make things more interesting. But yeah, if someone told me I was going to die because people like the other guy better, I would be kinda dissapointed. Of course, how do you compete with Ianto? There's no way.

He was the doctor. I honestly never made that connection. That's freaking brilliant, though. And really, no one can compete with Ianto. Gareth is giving John a run for his money in fangirls, I should think.

Those writers have at least half a brain in thier heads. :P Yeah, definately. If the fangirls got thier way, it would be "The Ianto Jones show with some Jack on the Side." And I wouldn't mind. Though, come to think of it, I think Ianto would loose some of his appeal if he were dragged out into the spotlight. Part of the reason that I love him is because not a lot is known about him. He's the quiet, funny type, always in the shadows, never the spotlight. He doesn't need attention like Jack does. That's his charm.

Tar-Sparkle- First comment: Yes :-D. Though I think both of them had other plans anyway. Burn Gorman (Owen) was due to play Fagin in a production of Oliver Twist (I think rehearsals for that are currently going on), so that's why he left. As for Naoko Mori (Tosh), I'm not sure exactly why she departed, but on the forum I get most of my info from, someone said she was pregnant or something, so that might be why.

Oh, definitely ;D, but I figure since John Barrowman is happily married to his partner, he's cool with that ;).

Ooh, interesting. I didn't know that :confuzzled:! It certainly did what the writers intended, if that's what it was . About the Jack/Ianto (or "Janto", if you prefer ;D) fangirls: the most rabid ones, yes, but in general, most like the show the way it is (except for those who absolutely despise Gwen, that is :/), and possibly, would like nothing more than for the writers to bring both Tosh and Owen back. I don't know about you, but I began to take a liking to both characters toward the end. Tosh, to me, was woefully underdeveloped, even near the end of the second season, but I liked her in spite of that. The writers improved on her character somewhat with episodes such as "Greeks Bearing Gifts" and "Adam", but still not enough, IMO . With Owen, I didn't like him much at the beginning of the series, but after the "death trilogy" ("Reset", "Dead Man Walking", "A Day In The Death") and "Fragments", I liked him a lot, and was sad to see him go :(.

Very likely .
