EEP! It looks so good! I'm excited to see it now. *bounces* Thank you very much to Firiel for posting the link to the trailer.
Is it just me or did James McAvoy seem oddly attractive in that trailer? And I had my doubts about Anne Hathaway playing Jane, but she seems like she did a pretty fair job of it from that little piece.
Concerning reading P&P again, I've read it countless times by now. It's odd how it never gets old. Every time I still wait and see if Lizzy and Darcy are going to get together. It has been awhile since I read it though. Maybe I'll read that next. I think once a year is a good goal for reading it.

^They're such an unlikely couple (Lizzy and Darcy) but they're so appealing because of it!

Oh no no, I still haven't seen 'Becoming Jane'!! It's in the cinemas now in Denmark.. I hope they can run it a bit more, I NEED to see it...
Anyway, I found something interesting on imdb, while I was lurking around the LOST-actors' pages. It seems that Shannon/Maggie Grace is doing a Jane Austen-related movie!!

Please tell me it isn't out in the U.S. yet. If it is, I haven't seen any previews or anything at all. I do really want to go see it though. I hope I didn't miss it.
I don't watch Lost, but that movie looks kind of good, if very chick-flick-ish. I like a lot of Jane Austen's other stuff besides P&P, so that might be a fun one to go and see. It'd be interesting to see a modern version of a Lizzy/Darcy romance.

*big bump*
hey, there, everyone! I was thinking of starting my own club for Jane Austin and P&P but since this one is already started I'll see if - with a little help - I can reactivate it.
Anyway, I've just started reading P&P and I'm really impressed with it. It's a wonderful story!

Whoa, funny! I just started rewatching the BBC P&P last night. Then I come on here and it's all bumped! How strange... *eerie music*
Anywho, I love P&P. The story is awesome, and of course I'm in love with Darcy. I'm using him as my subject in art class.

^lol well I'm happy to revive this club for everyone.
anyway, this is my first time reading the book and I find it a lot like the 2005 version of the movie (I still need to watch the BBC version ).... I think so far I like Jane, Mr. Darcy, Lydia (gotta love some silly foolishness every now and then ) and Mr. Collins the best. who is everyone else's favorites?
Johnny's Fan wrote: All I need now is to watch the Laurence Oliver 1940's film of P&P, and I think I have seen them all. And read the book of course.
there's ANOTHER P&P? I thought there were only two. The BBC and the 2005 one.... cool!

I love Mr. Darcy! He's sweet.
I didn't know this was a club on here. I am ecstatic to know it is and I am immediately joining!

but Mr. Darcy is so silent, isn't he? But you're right there is something about him that seems so reflective and very sweet. Mr. Bingly is a nice guy too.
(neither did I 'til I decided to start my own a few days ago... then after searching the directory I found one already made. )

According to the Republic of Pemberley (and they ought to know) there are five.
That actually hasn't been updated in awhile--there are now a new Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and Northanger Abbey, with Sense and Sensibility in the works.

welcome to the club, freya. and PD, of course
I really like Jane in the 2005 version, she's sooo beautiful. And mr. Collins is hilarious But since Keira is one of my favourite actresses, I'd have to say that she's my favourite character in the film...
