^aww, I'm sorry to hear that! I don't think I could ever loose any of my dvds. :P Me love 'em too much! No, I think Sense and Sensability is how you say it, Earwen. ;)

does anyone know when it's gonna come out... or who's in it?

btw, has anyone seen the new-ish movie, Becoming Jane?

I'm sure you can! Welcome! This thread keeps dying and then reviving, but go ahead and discuss whatever you like.

I'm not really interested in Becoming Jane. Bio's have to be something really special for me to want to watch them. That looks distinctly average and not very accurate.

A new Sense and Sensibillity? This year ITV shows new adaptaions for Mansfield Park, Persuassion and Northhanger Abbey, which from what I have heard where not like the books at all... certain situations that would never have been included in a Jane Austen book... if you know what I mean...

As for the BBC Pride and Prejudice, well I was way impressed with that. I still like the film though, and there are aspects in both that I prefer over the other.

I saw the BBC P&P not long ago too, JF! and it was really, really good... there were a few things I enjoyed more in it than I did with the 2005 film, but considering the time they had for the film they did an amazing job. :) so I have to come to the same conclusion you did. :P

and about Becoming Jane... well, I'll probably see it just to see it, I'm always looking for a new movie to see. :) And this one looks interesting enough even if it's not totally accurate.

^Yeah that was the thing with the '05 version. It was rather historically inaccurate. For instance, Bingley would never have walked into Jane's room when she was sick at his home, and Elizabeth would never have asked Mr. Darcy to dance.

I really want to see it as well. I believe it has Anne Hathaway, doesn't it? She's one of my favourite actresses.

YEAH Omgosh those movies were SOOOOO funny! And Ella Enchanted...The Devil Wears Prada wasn't the best (because her character evolved into a jerk) but it was still interesting.

Okay, I had a wild thought. Would anyone be interested in watching one of the films/reading the book as a club?

I know! :teehee: my mom owns both of them and they are a lot of fun to watch... :P Ella Enchanted was an ok movie too... really? I liked The Devil Wears Prada! It shows what can happen when you get too involved with looks and the material world.

but now we're straying off topic... :teehee:

^Arg I know. I'm so bad forgetting off-topic, XD. My bad.

So was I the only one that didn't know that Keira was going out with the Mr.Wickham actor?

no, no that's fine! :P I'm bad about getting off-topic all the time too! :P

I think so... at least between the two of us you were! (although I tend to not really keep up with actors and who they're with or anything so that might explain it ;))
