LOL I'm sure. But being off topic is so much fun! Kind of like right now!
So are we going to read the book together as was suggested a while ago? I forget by whom. I hope it was this thread

Well, what exactly do you mean by "older one"? I believe there are 5 versions of P&P currently out. If you mean the BBC 1995 one, I have to disagree. I like that one the most out of the 3 I've seen.

I actually like both of the movies. the BBC one and the 2005 one. There are different and unique things I enjoy about each. But I'm surprised you think the Mr. Darcy in the BBC P&P is ugly! I sure don't think so! I do have to admit I liked Jane better in the 2005 version... she was much prettier! anyway, I'm not really sure about the Lizzy in that version... Keira Knightly has never been my favorite actress but she didn't do that bad of a job.... hmmm, once again I can't really choose. they both have pluses and negatives and they both did a fairly good job with the time, actors and whatnot that they had.

I love Keira. She and Liv are my favourite female actresses, which is probably why I liked her role. I had a really bad flu the last time I watched the BBC so the whole five hours were fairly miserable. I was aching and throwing up and had a terrible headache, so I barely remember it. The new one was definitely less like the book and a little less accurate to the times, but I thought it was very well done nonetheless, although the original was rigidly following the book, which is something to be admired in a movie. That's probably one of the main reasons that I enjoy BBC so much. Well firstly, I adore the accents, but secondly, I love how they stick so closely to the book in their adaptations. I've seen a few BBC movies of books (Chronicles of Narnia, for example) and thought it was really well done. I usually like the BBC more than the remakes, but I sort of liked the newer one better of P & P, although I freely admit that I am biased because Keira was in it. Tom Hollander's character, Mr. Collins, was really funny too. I loved how awkward he was. It was really entertaining, LOL.

Not too confusing, XD. I bought the 2005 version on Friday with a $20 gift card from Wal-Mart, and I bought the book with a Chapters gift card, as I seem to have misplaced my old one.

I love P&P! The 95 BBC version, mind you. I don't care all that much for the 2005 version.

Welcome, Lady Elarinya! XD
I hope this isn't drastically off topic, but has anyone seen "Becoming Jane"? If this has already been discussed, please excuse me. I'm a little slow, XD.
