LOL yeah I think my sister started at about 6 or 7 years old. So did I.
Ahh speaking of the chanter.. I just bought one but it doesn't seem to be able to make a sane noise.. the sound doesn't even come out of the bottom.. it keeps coming out from the top! Arg.. any tips?

That's weird.... really weird. I've never heard of anything like that! I can ask my sister later, though. She's sleeping waaaay in today. (We're homeschooled, and even though it's Thanksgiving, we have a half-a-day).

^Nope you don't
^^I think I can record it from my Mp3 and send it to you.. hmm, it makes the oddest noise though. I don't know how to play anything yet, so I'll just give it an experimental blow and send you the sound

Oh cool a Scotland society I'm Scottish, can I join please? At the moment I'm in NZ not Scotland but I'll be arriving back home on the 8th of December
That's cool about St Andrew's day, I'd forgotten it was coming up - there tends to be more fuss about Burns night in Scotland. I'll try and remember to wear my Scotland top that day
