Hey everyone. I'm glad you had fun at ORC Eariel. Even though Elijah wasn't there, I'm sure he missed you all! I would post more, but I'm running really low on time. bye for now.

You went to ORC Eariel? Zomg. You lucky duck. :D
Did you get to see Pippin and Frodo's dance performance?

Starlight: As I've said before, meloves your new name. It's very pretty, and the song it's based on is - inexpressibly beautiful.

Eariel! You were at ORC again??!!! *is wildly jealous* Even though Elijah wasn't there, it would be amazing. Of course, it would have been better if Elijah had been there, but then again, what isn't better without a little bit of Lij in it? :P LOTR is LOTR and it's unutterably wonderful above all things, so a whole convention of LOTR has to be amazing.

Pippin and Frodo's dance performance????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! What? Am I missing something? If that actually exists, I definitely want to see it.

FM: Thank you very much. The  song definitely is inexpressibly beautiful. It's my favorite ever.

Muse AND Frodo = so much swooning. :swoon:

DUDE!

You just gave me an idea Starlight.

Someone really needs to make a fanvid of Frodo with that song!! :swoon:

Well you know Pippin and Frodo on this forum?

Maybe someone should make a fanvid. Lol, i was glad to go to ORC even if Lij wasn't there (you're right, everything's better with a little bit of him, Starlight ;) ). LotR is certainly unutterably wonderful, so it was cool to be at a whole convention of it. Btw, i did see a dance by the Hindi sisters... It was too a song called "White and Nerdy", tho. (Wait a minute--you mean they're members on this forum?)
*is mesmerized by FM's endless banner...* :blinkblink: :P
Btw, I ran across a fanfic from Bell's point of view (she's Sam's mother) wherein she tends a very sick young Frodo, if any of you want to read it...
http://www.henneth-annun.net/stories/ch ... ?stid=1513
(Btw, this one is not by my friend that i told you writes fanfics. It's still pretty good tho, lol.)

Ack. I have been shamefully neglecting the clubs. I'm so sorry guys. Please someone yell at me next time.

A Starlight Frovid????!!!! Muse and Frodo? All in one vid? :swoon: I think I'd die from teh awesomeness. I really wish I had the tehcnology to make vids, but I don't. However, if one of you lovely people who can make one do, please please please share it.

Oh my gosh. That's amazing for them. I had no idea they got to perform at ORC. Sweetness. That sounds awesome and hysterical. I wonder if there are any vids of it on the internet. I'll have to check. Yes, eariel, they're members here.

Unfortunately, I have no time to read the fanfic now. But it sounds interesting.

^I saw your comments on my ORC pics in the picture thread. Thanks. :)
I looked for a muse/lotr vid on youtube...couldn't find one. But if it helps, I wrote another poem recently i'd like to show you... ;) This one is from my own point of view, to Frodo of course (altho there's very little to let you tell it's actually him i'm talking to--but it is). This one was influenced, i believe, by Wish I had an Angel by Nightwish and perhaps by Even in Death by Evanescence... (Btw, there's a love poem contest in the Contests section, in which i've entered one of my Frodo poems, if you want to look at it. :) It's one of my older ones...but anyway, it's there.)

Sweet Apparition

Haunted
By the echo of your footsteps--
Follow me
Like the shadow of a dream:
Your laughter
Calls the music of my heartbeat--
And singing in twilight's blue gleam,
I will go where the Oceantides stream...

Calling,
As the Sunset is dying,
Past circling seas of the bent, broken World--
Enthralling,
Like a dream upward flying
That we'll shine with Varda's white blossoms unfurled:
My bright Evening Star,
Where Dawn-waves are pearled,
I'll come where you are...

For I have an angel,
One moment forever--
More radiant than starlight
By Earth ever known!
I'll find you, my angel--
We'll wander together:
I'll look to the Sunset
With you, and alone.

Harken
To the sighing of the Sea-foam--
Shine for me
Like a dewdrop on dry grass:
Goldfire
Is sweet glory like your smile--
The bright, molten Sunset will pass,
But light falls like star-silvered glass...

For I have an angel,
One moment forever--
More radiant than starlight
By Earth ever known!
I'll find you, my angel--
We'll wander together:
I'll look to the Sunset
With you, and alone.

Where does the Road go
That leads to the Sea?
I feel your shadow
Still dancing with me:
Tell me--what is death
But the last and endless Dream unfurled?
True hope awaits Last Breath--
I'll follow you, my love, beyond the World...

For I have an angel,
One moment forever--
More radiant than starlight
By Earth ever known!
I'll find you, my angel--
We'll wander together:
I'll look to the Sunset
With you, and alone...

As Night falls, this dream is our own.

Thanks! Don't worry, i appreciate your compliments (and the fact that you guys tend to say things like that every time i post a poem makes me feel amazed and special, lol. :) ) Btw, March 25 (so, this past sunday) was the day the Ring was destroyed. Yay for Frodo! I always like that day, b/c the one I (we ;) ) love was freed from his burden... Also, it's Elanor Gamgee's b-day, as of 2 years later. (In RotK, it says '...a date that Sam noted", or something like that, about the day she was born. So he probably remembered the other event that had happend... ;) ) Btw, i have a friend who's also really looking forward to AWE (she wants us to go see it together :) ). So am I, tho it's not quite as desparate a wait in my case, lol. Partly b/c I'm pre-occupied with avidly waiting for Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix to come out...as well as book 7 of the series...the exact same month (July) no less...! But this is seriously off-topic. Well anyway, i'm glad you liked my Frodo poem. I'm even prouder of it than the ORC/sunset one i posted in the E/F club. :)

Yes, you're right about March 25th, as I just noticed. Btw, I didn't know for a long time why Tolkien chose exactly that day for the destruction of the Ring, but I recently read that this date is thought to be the real day of Christ's crucifixion after an old tradition. That's pretty interesting, but i guess it's leading me to off-topicness, so I stop talking about it.

(Additional off-topicness: Personally, I don't like Harry Potter (in fact, I know only 300 pages or so of the first volume :P), but I'm eagerly waiting for PotC and as well Spider-man 3, which tends to be pretty hard at times. But I think I can manage it. ;-) )

Sooo, we need a new Frodo-related topic. Any ideas?

Time to get this thread going again! (Sorry guys, i haven't really had anything new to say for the past few days...I've been distracted by...a certain tv series... *glances at lower banner*) Anyway, i have an idea for a Frodo-related topic now--or at least, i could tell you about something Frodo-related i've been doing lately. Writing a new fanfic! :) This one's kind of a...love story between him and Daisy Gamgee, Sam's older sister. (I haven't usually liked the idea of Frodo having a romance, but this was one that my fanfic-writing friend also did a story about, and i found i liked the idea of Frodo and Daisy rather liking eachother...) I like putting references to the Elventales (basically the Silmarillion ;) ) in my fanfics, so in this one the story of Beren and Luthien plays is very present in the minds of the characters. At the beginning of each section, there's a quote from that poem about Beren and Luthien's first meeting that Aragorn tells to the hobbits at Weathertop (in the book). So i've been kind of excited about that. Also, i know that except for that one fanfic i showed you, you guys have pretty much only been hearing about the others i'm working on rather than getting to read them, and i appreciate your patience! I am hoping to have another fanfic done by this summer (the one where young Sam and Pippin are kidnapped while spending Yuletide at Brandy Hall), and after that it's likely i'll finally finish the sequel to the one i showed you (The Waiting). So... I need to go to bed now, but i wanted to tell you about that...and revive this thread. ;)

Hey, that sounds good, Eariel! I can't wait to read your new fanfic, though I must warn you: It has to be pretty good to convince me :P I'm extremely sceptical about everything Frodo-having-a-romance-related. So I'm curious what you'll make out of that theme.
Though I have the strong feeling that I'll like it after reading your fanfic.

Um, yeah. Any ideas for a new topic? We have to keep this thread going.
I'm currently having this graphic battle with eve, and the next round will be...*drumroll* Frodo! So I'm looking forward to showing you guys my next entry once I've finished it. :)

Can't wait to see it!
*reads small print* Thank you--I hope you will like it. Don't worry--I was skeptical when i read my friend's fanfic on that subject. I find that it's nice having someone in Middle-earth (Daisy, in this case) to whom i can give the same feelings i have concerning our dear Ringbearer, tho... ;) So...yeah. Glad you'll be looking forward to it, and hopefully the one about Sam and Pippin getting kidnapped (it's called A Shadow at Yuletide, just so i can refer to it by title now :P ) will be reading-worthy soon, lol. It's coming along pretty well.

I too am looking forward to your fanfic Eariel. In my opinion, Frodo never seemed he would continue his life to find a love. quite frankly I was quite content with the way his life ended up. But it should be interesting to see someone's perspective on it and perhaps help me expand my mind to open up to that possibility

*hugs everyone* The fanfic sounds very interesting Eariel, and it will be nice to see different forms of writing from you, not that your poems aren't absolutely wonderful. And Itarilde, I don't think the romance with Frodo was after the War of the Ring. I think it's from his younger years, if I remember correctly. ;) I agree that it would have been hard, though not impossible for Frodo to have been with someone after being a Ringbearer. I don't know yet how I feel about a Frodo romance. I'll have to think on it.
*cough* Eariel, my little brother's watch Avatar, The Last Airbender and somehow seem to have gotten me interested in it. :P *cough*
Oooh! A graphics battle?! Featuring Frodo?! With graphics made by Forever?! I may just have to go over to the fanart section to check this one out. I love Frodo graphics, especially the beautiful ones made by people who love Frodo.

Me too! *jumps up and down* :bounce: *sits down now* ;) lol
I'm glad the idea of a Frodo romance fanfic isn't being met with complete horror, lol. :P You're right, Starlight (I had to edit my post b/c i called you TT just now!), it takes place in his younger years, when he's just moved into Bag End. I agree about how it would have been hard for him to have a romantic sort of relationship after the Quest.
*cough* Yay, another Ringer/closet Avatar fan! As was the case with Lotr, it was a certain character that really got me interested...more than i was, i mean ;) *glances again at lower banner* Don't worry, I still love Frodo most tho! I just like Zuko now, too...*cough*
Anyway, i'm glad you'll be looking forward to my fanfiction as well as poetry. :) It's nice to be appreciated, lol. :P
