Hehe... welcome Lothiriel-Maetharanel! :welcome: Aye, ye might not want to do that... Petting a rabid hamster would be safer. :teehee:

@Longposts -

Eat his face... That just sounds so funny! Well, that's pretty normal with a group of friends.. that's what they're here for right? Goofing off is so much fun! And it's even better when you're so hyped up on caffine and random conversations... Trust me, I would know. :P

Exactly, and I've been starting to realize that lately... actually whenever I tell myself that one day death will be inevitable, I start to feel really bad and almost cry.. but then I force it out of my mind and tell myself that's why you need to enjoy every moment, good or bad. Because you only have one chance to experience it all, so make the most of it.

Peanut brain! That's his new nickname. ;-) I feel like giving people random nicknames lately, as you know with Will a.k.a. Rainbow Crayon. :teehee: Yeah, that's what my mom and her boyfriend do to me sometimes.. they know I'm going to get all flustered over something, so they do it anyway, but jokingly. Still, it's really annoying and gets to me because that's how I am... I can't ever come up with good comebacks right on the spot, so I just keep it shut and try to ignore people if they're bothering me.

Well, I don't mind the Dutchman since it was now under Will's command, but maybe blowing a few holes in Peanut Brain's ship would have been nice... :eyeroll: Yeah! That's stupid! There were like, a million ships that could have easily taken down the Pearl and yet they fled in terror? I hardly think so - if they were highly trained soldiers to follow in his command, wouldn't you think they'd have done something to help out? I mean, just because the leader is gone, doesn't mean the followers have to run away like cowards. That's not how it works in real life. Either way, there would have been someone trying to rid the world of pirates, since a lot of people weren't fond of them anyway, right? Gah! It's so stupid! :frust: Ugh, I know, and popular demand wins every time, no matter what show it is... [like when you want a major character to end up with a minor character, but then they always have said major character fall in love with the other stupid girl... sorta like people that wanted Aragorn and Eowyn to end up together, but it ended up being Aragorn/Arwen (which I do support).. but I totally understand the Aragorn/Eowyn shippers' frustration]. I hope that little rant made sense.. it just makes me mad that if suchandsuch is a said pair, it can't change because too many people like it. :annoyed2:

Yeah, that's what makes him such a great villain! ;-) I agree, T&T did do a wonderful job showing every aspect of his personality throughout DMC and AWE in really strong ways... and he was really a believable character. Maybe that's why I really don't like Lizzy too much... I don't think she's too believable. [Also she comes across as a bit MSish to me]. But I know people like her because she's on the "Good Side". Going back to an earlier convo, people need to try and see past the label of Beckett being a "Bad, Evil Villain". If you look at it through his eyes, he was doing the right thing by ridding the seas of pirates, who would have been "Bad Evil Villains", you know? People are so biased, thinking that there's a good side and that's with Peanut Brain and his acquaintences and Beckett is evil. Like you said, there's a thin line between the two but people are reluctant to accept it.

Oooooh, could i join please? I'd say I could be Beckett's Mistress but i'll then be in danger of being mauld by Calloniel (PD), and i kinda like my face the way it is lol :)

oooo, a new member! :bounce: Welcome L-M!!! :-D well, I probably wouldn't necessarily maul you.... buuutttttt.... :innocent: oh, btw, you can just call me PD. ;)

Aramel, but it's true. ;) Most friends do get like that I would suppose... aye, that's what they're for. :P So you can goof off and have a bit of fun for a time... Oh, I never said that you wouldn't know. ;) I think you probably know a LOT better than I do. :P caffeine, candy and random convo is awesomeness though! and then at sleepovers and you've had all three all day AND it's 1:30 in the morning... yeah. :boing:

awww, Ara, you shouldn't do that to yourself! I guess I'm not so much afraid of dying as I am of loosing others and of what they would go through if I died. Me, myself, I could die and not be afraid of it... but I would hate to loose the ones I love. :( but, yeah, no matter what you have to enjoy life right here and now... if you think too much about the future you don't get anything out of the present. I mean, it's good to plan ahead, but not to obsess and worry over it. :eyeroll: and you do only have one life to live... that's why I adore Carrie's songs So Small and Wheel of the World... they really sum it all up.

oooo, haha! Teh Sparrow has a new nickname! Peanut Brain! of course... I wonder why in the world they do that... what fun do people get out of torturing us? :eyeroll: although.... sometimes I enjoy doing my fair share of that sort of joking torture. lol, poor Aramel.... normally I can think of some sort of a comeback so I don't have remain quiet... :P

yeah, something, anything happening would've been nice. Some sort of responce or fight. :( but still, even if the Pearl had been taken, Will wouldn't have let the Endeavour go and the Dutchman still would've beaten dear Cutler. :erm: but I think T&T were trying to make a point with Beckett not returning fire... it was like he knew it was over and he had given up. He was beaten and confused. the poor guy! Although, I know, it doesn't quite make sense.... I mean, it seems like in Beckett's honor they could've still fought if for nothing else. the Pearl isn't that scary... although the Dutchman sort of is. And maybe after seeing what those two ships did to their flagship they didn't want to mess with them. :erm: but you're still right... it doesn't seem like the best of the best would just run like that. Loosing their flagship or not. :eyeroll: In real life they would've done something more... at least fight til the end. But there must've been some reason behind it... or maybe it was just so the story would wrap up quickly and the pirates could win. yeah, I'm sure even after AWE there were people hunting pirates... actually, of course there was, I mean, the pirates were eventually semi-exterminated (although they're still not gone ;)) and it's in history people fighting with them and all that. but the point is, it wrapped up the movie and the pirates got to win. and that's what people wanted. ;) what do you really expect them to do? I mean, even I can't say I would've really been satisfied if the pirates had lost... by the end your really rooting for them. The charries had all been through so much that they deserved something. ;) Even at the expense of dearest Cutler... *sniff* (the thing was, though, that Aragorn/Eowyn was never meant to be... and they really emphasize it more in the movies than it is in the books. so that's a little different, I guess. Although I adore Norribeth and it was never meant to be... :P but I also LOVE Willabeth... so, yeah, now I've confused myself) no, it did make some sense... :P ;)

aye aye! :-D well, T&T did an amazing job with every one of their characters, and I'm really glad they didn't overlook anyone. So many writers just make the villains "bad", they don't delve into why they're bad or who they really are. They're just... "bad guys". :eyeroll: But, yeah, Beckett is extremely believable. A very rich, deep character... ‘Multidimensional’ is the word, I believe. ;) Well, I think Elizabeth is very believable... she's a strong woman who goes through a lot that develops and changes her. but we've been through that before... ;) and that's really dumb too... I mean, in Pirates the "good" and "bad" sides are blurred to begin with. And you can't love/hate a certain charrie just because they are on this side or that. :eyeroll: each one must be seen individually and they must be analyzed on their own. and that's what's awesome about Pirates!! Each character you can see the world through his/her eyes... and it's all a big blurred mess! Almost anything can go! :-D Although what Beckett was doing was sometimes bad... ;) I mean, he killed some innocent people, cheated people, and all sorts of tricky things to get where he was, but still, I know what you mean. It's not like Peanut Brain was any nicer really (not to mention hygiene-wise ;))... I mean he never murdered anyone and he was a nicer kind of pirate, but still. And Beckett didn't really murder either. Mr. Mercer did. :P yeah, at least we've accepted the thin line... I mean, what's the fun in labeling any character right off the bat? PotC is so full of deep charries that I would hate to discard any without seriously studying them and analyzing them and what you/I think of them. and that's what the movies are all about. Not just the "good guys", but ALL of them... that's why T&T are awesome too. They don't overlook anyone.

anyway, that ramble turned out longer than I thought it would be.... oopsies... hopefully it made sense...

:innocent:

I LOVE BECKETT!!!!

Lol ~ Cheers guys :-D

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this or not, but it's very possible that poor Cutler isn't actually dead! When he fell into the wter he was still moving. There was nothing impaled in him (as far as we could see) and if he was on fire it would have gone out as soon as he hit the water. He'll probally wash up on some beach with a few burns and broken bones

Hmmm, I dunno... I just figured it was high time we resurrected Becky. :P Didn't I make up the last topic we talked about?

Bumpin' back up from the dead now that I'm in a PotC mood again. :P Sorry for letting it die. :duh:

Uhm, I think you did.. so I guess you're insinuating that it's my turn, right? Well, let's see...

We could talk about our graphic battle, or roleplays, or Beckett's hair... or his eyes... or the Endeavour, or Beckara... I don't mind.

Yay! I'm so happy teh Aramel is back in a PotC mood!

lol, yup it's your turn... and you just gave a lot of good ideas. but you know what? I've always wondered about Beckett's real hair color. :P Do you guys think it's like Tom Hollander's color? Or do you think he could have a color all his own? For some reason I tend to look at him as having brown, slightly curly hair with a bit of a light blonde added to it.

*squees*

Me too, Watson! It's nice to be back. :)

Well, I was reading Beckett's page on the PotC Wikipedia site... it says that he has brown hair, which would make sense... much like Tom's natural style I think. I do agree with what you think though - maybe not as much blonde... lol, well I don't think it would be bright red, PD.. :P

And I think it might be cool to see what Beckett would be like as a pirate.. not so much morally corrupted though, but it would be neat.

wha-? It's not random "squee" time yet, is it?

It's nice to have ya! :P

Yeah, I've definitely heard that before. and it does make sense that it would be brown, I do agree. But I was just thinking that maybe Beckett wouldn't HAVE to be like Tom. ;) and I wonder how they know on Wiki. lol well, I wasn't talking a WHOLE lot of blonde... I was just saying a little bit just to make it more unique. :P no way! Who said anything about bright red Beckett-ish hair?

I've thought that too! he would probably make a pretty good pirate though... maybe. I mean as it is he's basically a "legal pirate". :erm: but I wouldn't want to see him REALLY piratey with rotten teeth and all sweaty and dirty and icky.... very un-Beckett-ish. :yuck:

Well, it only is random squee time if you want it to be. :P

Oui, madamemoiselle!

Well, I don't know how they knew, but it just seems logical I guess. No, it doesn't have to be like his, but it's not like they had hair die in the 1700's... More like lighter tones, you mean, right? I said it, thankyouverymuch. :teehee:

He's got the qualifications... let's certify Becky as a pirate! :pirate: Oh no, I didn't mean like that at all! :swoon: That is un-Beckett-ish and should never be uttered in this club again! *scolds* J/k. :P

I think there should be a movie about Beckett's past. T'would be quite interesting.

uh-huh... :P so what is it if I don't want it to be random squee time?

Or maybe they just supposed since that's Tom's natural hair color is that so would Beckett's too? :erm: I dunno. :P but you're right it does seem logical even if I like my idea slightly better. ;) lol, no I know they didn't have hair coloring in the 1700's of course, Ara! :P but some people do have natural blonde in their hair like that... ;) aye, a more lighter tone, but still there, you know?

True enough. Ok, he is officially a pirate. Lord Cutler I now dub thee Pirate Cutler. :teehee: lol, I didn't figure you did... and it is very un-Beckett-ish... lol, so I won't ever utter rotten teeth and Beckett in the same sentence again. :P

hmmm, a movie about Beckett's past? It would been very cool... as long as I could write it. :innocent: I've got lots of ideas about young Beckett and Beckett in the Navy and all that. too bad we couldn't start a Beckett RP about his past... but I'm afraid no one would want to join it unless Jack and the rest were involved. :P

Well then I might just have to get the muffins to persuade you otherwise. :eyeroll: You can’t fight the Squee, man! *holds up a peace sign while dressed like a hippie*

Yeah, they could have, I guess. *shrugs* That’s fine - believe what you want to, I’m not stopping you. But it would be cool if they did have hair dye back then… can you imagine Becky with blue hair?! :swoon: Maybe that’s the real reason he wears a white powdered wig!

Huzzah! Pirate Cutler… it makes me want to squee! :D No, I don’t think he would like that very much. *covers Becky’s ears* Don’t listen to her! Lol, Becky with wooden teeth like George Washington! Although they weren’t really wooden, but still. :P

Aye, and I would have to be able to help, of course. ;-) :P Aww, well, who’s to say we can’t? I’m sure a few people would be interested… and it might be neat to have Beckett in his teenage years  And maybe a teenage Jack Sparrow, too, to make everyone else happy.

teh muffins couldn't persuade me! Remember, I helped raise them, I helped you take care of them when they were only little muffinettes. :P They won't harm me. lol, that is hilarious! I think that needs to go in my sig at some point too! "You can’t fight the Squee, man! *holds up a peace sign while dressed like a hippie*"

no, I know you aren't... :P who knows. For all we know Beckett might even... *gulp* shave his head! I know some of the men who wore wigs back then did. :hide: but Norrie obviously didn't so I really, really hope Becky didn't either! That would be terrifying! lol blue-haired Becky? :P I don't know which is scarier! interesting. lol

"he's a pirate". :teehee: yay, for Becky! sorry, Cutler! I didn't mean to scare you and make you have nightmares for the next week! I will never say it again... my lips are sealed on that matter. :P Becky with wooden teeth!? And you think I'M the one scaring him!

of course! I could never leave you out if there was something Beckett-ish and Pirate-y involved. :teehee: ;) that is true... hmmm, I actually kinda like the way you think. Who says we can't? Your right! I'm sure some people might be! Yeah! A teenage Cutler? You know how many ideas rush to my mind with that thought? Just about a million! lol the kind of family he would've had, what he would've been like, would he have been an angry teen, a shy one or a dorky one or a mean one or maybe a sweet one led down the wrong road... or maybe a mix of them all! Ooo, so many ideas! lol and a teen Jack would be... interesting. lol it would be neat to see how it would all tie together. It's definitely a new idea.... hmm, what do YOU think?

Well, you never know... teh muffins do have mind control, but whilst wearing your muffin crown it blocks the energy. Muffinettes... that's so cute! Lol, I would put it in, but I don't have room with the current quotes from January 29th in my charrie thread. :P

*Peace and Squee make the world go round*

Aah! Don't put those sorts of images into my head! *goes to wash her eyes out* That's plain scary! Aye, it could happen... Blue haired Beckett! Squee! Maybe we should die his wig pink. Would be a great April Fool's Day prank.

Ooh, I just downloaded that song on my iPod today! :pirate: Well, I think we both owe Cutler an apology. Or tea, whichever he's quicker to accept. ;-) Might be neat if he knew George Washington, though.

So, is that the 'okay go' on it? I would personally love a younger Becky RP... when everyone is in their teenage years! That would be so much fun. Do you think we could add Beckara in that one as well? Ooh, and Becky's parents, wouldn't you love to see that?! I like the way you think, too! Adolescence does bring confusion when it comes to personalities too, since one minute you can be nice and the other you're ready to maim someone. Yeah, like those Jack Sparrow books when he's a teenager... haven't read them, but I saw them last night in Borders. It looks pretty cool. And unique, aye!
