We could... each make our own personal one, and then make just a general one which we then vote for to be the official club banner.

I do like having the personal banner also. That is something I believe has not been done before in a club.
They could all say: "[Your name here] is a part of the union"
That would be cool.
To explain classifieds...
classifieds is really just a name for it, but I believe it would be cool if we would be able to post "needs" in this club (all of the way from award makers to more voters). Therefore, we could all have a nice place that we know we can go to.
Basically, we all do this already with "advertising" our contests and such at the end of a post, but this is a deliberate advertisement. For instance, here is an example of mine:

I need...
-At least 7 people to vote in the Peregrin Took Graphic Awards Poll
-At least 6 people to vote in the Samwise Gamgee Graphic Awards Poll
-At lleast 6 people to vote in the Frodo Baggins Graphic Awards Poll

I believe everyone should be in charge of their own personnel banner. However, for the club banner, I can start the contest once these Graphic Awards are done and over with.
EDIT:
I am going to need Award Makers for the Graphic Awards.
