This is about the husband. He was normal, but, at the same time, he wasn't normal. Man, this is confusing.
We have ruled out:
Medical condition
Culture
Religion
Job
Him thinking something about Mrs. Phillips
What this about money?
Did they have any children?

The newspaper headline only identified the cruise both Mrs. Phillips and her husband were on. Stephanie knew it was murder because it was the husband. Earlier you said.. the relationship to Mrs. Phillips mattered. So, it is something that a husband would do that another family member won't?

I said the relationship between the murderer to Mrs. Phillips was important, but more so the relationship between the murderer and Stephanie.
So, it is something that a husband would do that another family member won't? No... not really relevant.

Stephanie exclaimed that it was murder.. so did Stephanie want it to be murder to get revenge against Mrs. Phillips husband?
Did Stephanie used to be married to Mrs. Phillip's husband?

Is Stephanie Mr. Phillip's boss?
Does the relationship Stephanie has to Mr. Phillips cause her to know that he murdered his wife?

Is Stephanie Mr. Phillip's boss? No.
Does the relationship Stephanie has to Mr. Phillips cause her to know that he murdered his wife? Um... no---but this can be misinterpreted. What I'm saying is---the existence of the relationship doesn't cause her to know.

So, the relationship isn't a cause and effect, but it does help?
Which means.. that is isn't the cermonial position of the relationship, but, rather, something Stephanie has learned from having this relationship?

You know...I honestly think there should be a time limit on these riddles.
I mean, like...if we don't get it within a certain time...Kit should just save us by GIVING us the answer.
Hmm...maybe I should just bug her about PMing me the answer so I can sit back and cackle evily whilst you all try and figure it out. BUUUUT, I doubt that'll happen.
I just have a random question though...did we ask HOW this old woman was killed? I can't remember...(if it hasn't been answered, can Kit please answer it? XD)
*sigh*
I'm having House withdrawls. XD ACK! XD

House withdrawals? [shudders] Those are bad.
And, I agree, time limits would be a very good idea. This is the first riddle that offically has given me a headache.

YesYesYesYesYes Go with THAAAT.
Montana: I think we established that she... drowned. It really didn't matter how she died more that she died.

Now we are back to guessing on something that is wrong with the husband.
Did he have anger management issues?

Perhaps, he has weird gastro-intestinal problems that occur when ever he eats a gero, and these problems make him murderous?
Insane guess! woo hoo! But now lets get serious.
Its somthing that Stephanie learned from his relationship...
Anger managment issues
Mental illness
A fear of boats and/or water (maybe?)
That's all I can think of right now.
