I'm not entirely sure what direction I'm going to end up going with Tal in Legends made Real. He's probably going to be a little less violent than my other characters, simply because he's a healer. That changes a lot of stuff. He should be really interesting to play.

Lot's of people make characters both healers and warriors... It is possible, but I think it needs to a good background story. It's nicer when people dare limit the character's ability so they are not perfectly skilled in both healing and fighting (*cough* Mary-Sue). Although, naturally a warrior would have to have some basic knowledge in tending wounds.
Hmm... what kind of healer characters do you have? How do they deal with or justify killing?

Funnily enough, I have about fifty characters who are dispassionate killers but only one healer. His name was Yrudit Vs'axeral (try saying that ten times fast) and he was this freaky lizard shaman guy inspired by a certain video game. He's not fully developed, but I think he would justify killing by defending the innocent. I may bring him back now that you mention it.

Ditto to what you said, Jimmy. I don't have quite fifty dispassionate killers, but near enough. And I've only got one healer.

I almost went back and changed Tal's bio so that he only used a bow, but I decided against it, because I had already spent like half an hour changing it to how I liked it, etc. Plus about six people posted their bios and stuff while I was typing mine up, so I was in a rush to finish.

But I think I'm going to make him a lot less violent than he seemed even in his bio.

I think I only ever had one that was a really dispassionate killer...and she was an assassin, so she kinda had to be :P I've had a good amount of healers, though...Silvryn in Legends Made Real is a healer, and so is one of my other ones, Aedha.

Lol, Meldawen. I think Assassins are pretty popular (when it comes to playing them).

I don't recall seeing an other Male healers, though (not that I've looked through all the RPGs, either), so this is definitely unusual for me.

Aerandir, all your characters are male? I'm sorry, I come very rarely on the RPG board so I don't know much of what is going on there.
Well, playing a healer might be a greater challenge (read: boring) since most fantasy RPG's evolve around some battles or ambush scenes. But the the character should be a druid of some kind, being in touh with nature, being able to read signs from the wind etc. Also if another character is severely wounded you could actually get some good posts in with the healing process I guess..

And LDM when are you changing back to LDM?
*places her hands on her hips, her voice demanding*
This is just... odd... owh, by the way, how did your Character contest end? Who won?

I had a healer in another RP (Mirrim) who was so busy while the rest were fighting, it wasn't even funny :P Generally, though, it's funner if healing isn't the ONLY thing they do, like you said.

*Wants to know when Jimmy will become LDM again as well*

Nauriel won with Kith, I think I had the awards thing a few pages back. *hedges away from username question* after New Years I shall have everything changed back. :P

by the way in Legends Made Real is there room for a new character or are you too far in the rpg?

Depends what character you are :) Knowing you, though, it wouldn't be anything repetitive. We've probably got room for another...have to ask Raven, though. We're only, what 16 pages in? And about 6 or 7 was pre-RP stuff.

the lure of the rpg was too tempting; I did end up reading all... however many pages there are... Raven, I'm not certain if you have a plot in mind but I did manage a character entrance.

And yes, there's a plot in-progress, as it were..to be revealed later.

Yeah--being a male myself, and having four sisters, I cringe at the thought of attempting to have a female character, messing it up, having one of my sisters read it, and then being clobbered by all four. Besides, there's not nearly as much a need for male characters as there is for female ones. The ratio of females to males on A-U is...pretty unequal.

Well, thanks everyone for going slowly in the "Legends Made Real" RPG.
