The scene in Pip's sig is even funnier when you consider Jack's earlier conversation with Tia Dalma:
Jack: “Dirt. This is a jar of dirt…”
Tia: “Yes.”
Jack: “Is the jar of dirt going to help?”
Tia: “If you don't want it, give it back.”
Jack: “No.”
Tia: “Then it helps.”
He goes from not knowing what it does and not believing it can help to not knowing what it does and betting everything on it.

Hi! I found the coolest thing at the grocery store today! There are those fruit snack things, and there's POTC ones! The shapes are a pirate chest, a key, a treasure map, the gold medallion, Jolly Roger, and a captain's wheel! They're so cool! And tasty too!
