I'm so excited! 3 whole movies! Are there going to be more? Because I'm going to have very numb fingers from twidling them while waiting for them!

Yeah. It makes me kinda creeped out...
I really hope they keep making the movies if they turn out to be any good. Can't wait!!! I can't think of any reason Will would be arrested though...

Orlando Bloom said in an interview that we're gonna see a "darker side" to Will in the sequels. By POTC 3, he's supposed to be a true pirate (perhaps even a tad mutinous???). they're being really hazy on the third.

He could be stealing stuff to get into jail because that's what pirates do. Maybe Jack convinced him to do a sort of initiation thing?

hmm...
I was thinking maybe Will gets in trouble this time and then Elizabeth "rescues" him and then he turns her down or something because he wants to become a pirate. I doubt this will happen, being a Disney movie, but just wondering...
Have you realized that the whole movie wouldn't have happened if Elizabeth didn't have that dream? Because the dream made her remember the medallion was hidden in that drawer, making her wear it, making her wear it with the corset, and making her drown. And without Will, Jack would not have escaped jail because the "Filthy Slimy Mangy Cat" ran away with the keys. It's kind of funny to think about...

I have a day countdown in my profile...338 days to go!
And about the dream...I've always kinda thought the dream was caused by the medallion...like it almost has its own agenda (kinda like the One Ring) and could sense that the Black Pearl was near, just like the pirates could sense the gold. "The gold calls to us." *ooooooooo*

338 days? That seems much shorter...
Yeah...maybe...maybe they will reveal some of that in the second movie. Awesome dude!
But its kind of funny...nothing would have happened without "the latest fashion in london"

Sry for double posting! I just had to ask...
You know when he says,
"The man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink. THe man who was sleeping therefore is a proposition to the man who did the waking."
What does he mean by that? I don't get it...
And when Gibbs says:
"It's frightgul bad luck to bring a woman aboard, sir."
then jack says:
"It would be far worse not to have her."
What does he mean by it would be far worse not to have her? Are both pf these questions yet to be revealed in the second movie?

Well, your question to the first might be answered if you got the quote right:
"The man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink. The man who was sleeping then drinks it while listening to a propostition from the man who did the waking." Gibbs was sleeping, and Jack woke him, therefore: Jack buys Gibbs a drink. Gibbs drinks it while listening to a proposition from Jack (about the Black Pearl). It's one of those tricksy quotes that you have to listen to over and over just to understand what it's saying, and then even more to catch the meaning.
As for the second, there was an old sailor superstition that women of any kind (even as passengers) were bad luck onboard a ship, and Gibbs was apparently a firm believer in many such rumors ("Bad luck to be singin' about pirates with us mired in this unnatural fog" is another example). I think Jack simply meant that she was a gifted sailor and they would need her with the upcoming weather (thus the pointing at the sky...possibly at the clouds preceding the big storm?).
I don't know about the second one, it's just always been my understanding.
