I'm wondering why this name sounds so oddly familiar, but no matter... the club doesn't exist in this forum, so I'm starting one.

Whoever attends, has attended, wants to attend or will attend any Renaissance Faire is welcome here.

Photos from past Faires are definitely welcome!

Discuss anything related to Medieval Faires, from admission fees to Faire garb... :P

I sort of want to go to the Faire near me. But it's always really hot, I just found out I have shin splints, and after a while, men in stretchy pants get... annoying.

September's a good time.. summer is awful. I went to one a few days ago, and I had to work my butt off for three whole sweltering days. Not to mention the castle had no air con...

Lol, we always have the Men In Tights performance... it's awesome :D I'm sure you'd love it, Shadowcat :teehee:

I went to a Renaissance faire once, with my friend, but I'd love to go again... Next time, if there is a next time i want to dress up. i have a pattern, so I just need to make the costume... hehe, sounds easy, but i've had the pattern for a year and it's sitting on my book shelf collecting dust.

Oh, making costumes are really easy... but it's drawing, cutting and measuring templates that irk me. If they were all laid out all drawn for me on the fabric, it would be as simple as anything to do :P

lol, haldir, that's so true... A couple years ago I was supposed to make my own halloween costume, and I started cutting out the fabric and gave up halfway through. My mom does it better than I do, anyway. She cuts out every other part a different size so that it fits me better. :D

Turwaithiel: Do you have any happening near you... because if you do, they really are worth going to... 'specially if you're in garb! :teehee:


Elerrina: Lol, that happens so often to me, too! :P I'm just always afraid of doing a messy job, so I stop and refuse to do it. I've been working on armour templates for err... two years now? And I've only gotten as far as drawing them :blink:
