Sure, you can join! *Glares*.....This always happens! When I try to make a new thread, after submitting the first post I recieve a page that says "Oh, you attempt failed" (not exactly like that, but pretty similar) and so I growl, check the home page make sure that the thread didn't post, and when I have checked asn see that my message in fact did not get through, I make a new thread, and then I post it, and it works, but it turns out that the first one actually did get posted, so then I have two posts of the same thread! Graa! *Storms off to talk to Kit* |

ooo ooo, i'll join. i resisted watching it for ages cuz spin-offs are generally a bad idea, but i finally caved and watched all the episodes online and i absolutely loved it. anyone else think john barrowman played jack a little like christopher eccleston's doctor? i mean, he was still most definitely jack, but there were little things he said and did that reminded me of the ninth doctor. i thought that was a really nice touch, showing how the doctor had affected jack. |

Oh my gosh, that's right, ethel! I noticed that Jack acted very differently in Torchwood than he did in Doctor Who, but I didn't recognize that he acts a lot like Doctor Nine. Acute observation. (Did I just say acute?  I think I need sleep)
And yes, I wasn't to crazy about the idea of a spin off, but I am very pleased with Torchwood. I just finished the one where Tosh has the ability to read minds, and that was very well done. When Tosh was reading Ianto's mind, he was talking about pain, or something. What was that about? Is he sick? I don't want Ianto to be sick! I like Ianto! |

Well, Oh-Wise-Phoenix lead me to an online site. But it's gone now.  But thankfully Torchwood has made it to the States. Sort of. You have to have the speciall BBC America channel to watch it.
@Ethelfleda: You know, now that you mention it...he does seem to have some of Nine's quarks. Which is nice. I think you said it right, that the Doctor made a HUGE impact on his life, and its nice that he sort of acts like the Doctor, in the Doctor's stead. I'll be REALLY interested to see how he acts in the new season after having been with the Doctor again. And knowing WHY he can't die, and all that stuff. I think the dynamic of his broodiness might change. You know what I mean?
I liked Tosh's episode too! It was really good! Buuut, I have to say my absolute favourite is "Small Worlds" though.

Ha ha ha ha! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, but you KNOOOOOOW you love that name. 
As far as I'm aware of tv-links has been officially shut down. How depressing. XD I love Tosh too, but she and Gwen are equal in my mind. Ianto's probably my favourite though. I mean, this ranking is all MINUS Jack...because Jack's in a category all his own.

Yeah, the guy who ran TV Links was like arrested or something. Total B.S. *sigh* I don't know about that other site though....I've found something called "Side Reel" but doesn't really work properly for me.  Nothing compared to tv-links.
ANYWAY.....XD Besides being excited to see Jack and what it's gonna be like post-Doctor/end-of-the-world, I'm REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY excited to see Mr. Marsters. If you know what I mean.
