Whoo! I love watching the Olympics. Though I have to say I love the winter as well as summer.
Country I support? USA, of course. Though I love watching everyone and root for whoever catches my fancy, be they the underdog or really cool.
Favorite events...hm. That one's harder. I like the swimming and gymnastics probably the most in the summer ones, and the figure skating and skiing are just pretty cool. Hopefully I get to watch more this year than I have gotten to other years. I really want to see some of the archery and fencing.

Archery - One that I definitely love watching... I know one of the Canadian athletes too - Crispin Duenas - he used to participate in the same provincial tournament as me. Course I'm nowhere near as good xD
Skating - I've watched skating since I was about 4 and I love the sport... the skaters are amazing to watch!
Curling - A cute sport... I've also watched it since I was about 4 years old and it's still quite interesting!
I'd love to see some fencing... I've never caught it while watching the Olympics on TV but I'm interested.

Neat... I'm a skater too! It's interesting how almost nobody that I know can ice skate... kinda random, but I used to think that everyone could ice skate

I'm actually an ice hockey player, I've played for 14 years. I did ice skating for a couple of months so I could go into ice hockey. I was a very aggressive skater and I didn't really like being graceful

I'll join I support the US because... that's where I live. (actually, I live in Austin [Texas] where many of the diving competitors hail from, because they dive with Univ. of Texas, which apparently has a good aquatics team/program.)
Summer: Gymnastics, Diving (synchro and platform especially), Swimming
Winter: Figure skating, some Speed skating, some Bobsled/Luge

Of course I've got to join. I support the U.S.A.. My favorite events are gymnastics and the equestrian events(namely show jumping and eventing).
As far as the Hamm brothers being out, I hadn't heard that. Now I'm sad. I liked them!

Me me me!!
Dark, Queen of Angmar! Canada all the way, I love supporting my home country, I'm so patriotic.
For the summer olympics, I watch Fencing, and Archery whenever I can. I used to participate in both.
I also watch horse competitions (jumping and dressage), being very close to several horse jumpers.
I also watch swimming/diving, being very proud of all of the Canadian athletes in this area.
And the track and field athletes, there's a guy from my town participating in the hammer throw, so that's exciting.
For the winter sports I watch hockey, since it's such a big deal to us Canadians.
I also watch the luge/skeleton/bobsledding.
I also love the skiing, both downhill, the fancy stuff and the crosscountry.

yeah, I try to watch as much as possible, watching the Olympics is a tradition for me. I remember watching the last winter olympics and being on A-U, and writing down all of the Canadian medal winners, and having a party for one when we won something. I'm not at all athletic anymore so this is my "sporty" outlet.

LadyOfRohan-We really needed Paul Hamm. China is very good in the gym category. He and his brother would have been a big help.
Darky- Watching the Olympics is also a tradition for me. I'm actually watching the dressage part of the equestrian three day eventing, and I just watched a Canadian. She had a gorgeous horse. Didn't catch her name though.

^ OMG yes I saw Artemev's pommel horse routine... I was like, holy bejeezus!
Also, Horton and Spring's bar routines... they get the momentum going and I'm like, they're going to go flying off any time!

Hey add me up, LOR. Opening ceremony was beyond greatness. I amazingly support Australia(diving, swimming) and Canada(do not know yet) ,though Canadians end up being the last which is pretty lame I guess, just about in anything where Turks did not get involved with. Sorry but US and China pisses me off. I do not know much of the Olympics because I was kinda not interested when I was a kid. Btw, I felt sorry when 3 US got stabbed in the first day by some crazy Chinese. Hope that never happens again.
