One of my favorites unknowns is the author Rosemary Sutcliff. Her books are amazing, but sadly difficult to find.
Movie/TV-wise, I Am David is a beautiful movie that's not very popular. And a lot of classic movies! Then there's my favorite tv show, Mystery Science Theater 3000! It is quite a cult classic, but not enough people know about it.
I have sort of uncommon strange tastes in music, so a lot of my favorite bands/groups/singers/songs aren't very well knows.
I'm sure I have a lot more favorite under appreciated, but I'm not thinking of them at the moment.

I would love to join!!
As for me, here are some of the first "pop-ups" that I thouht of -
Author Bryan Davis, who has written two fantasic teen series, The Dragons in our Mists and The Oracyle of the Fire. His books are fantasic, as I said, yet everyone I have talked to has never heard of them!! Maybe it is the length of the books that scare them away, I dunno.
Actor Jamie Campbell Bower, whom is a English actor and model, who played in the terrific movie, Sweeney Todd. We must show this hottie more love!!
I dunno if it is real popular anywhere else, but around here, the TV Shows Supernatural and Eleventh Hour definitely deserve more!! I mean, both of them are phemonal, (Supernatural is the best show out there, in my opinion ), yet again, no one has heard/watches them. Sad.
More to come, I am sure. Great club idea, Nurr!!

Is that a scream of wanting to join, Freya?
I know of Supernatural! Yay! I don't watch it that much (metaphysical spirits possessing people kind of creeps me out) but I watch what I can for the lovely Jensen Ackles. Who, in my mind, is a VERY under appreciated actor. He is brilliant, he's talented, and he's gorgeous, and yet he hasn't had a lead in anything of note besides Supernatural. I think my favorite one that I've seen is the rabbits foot one. "I lost my shoe." *pout* Though the first one with the trickster is close.
My other favorites would be nearly all classic movies, Firefly, Adam Baldwin, and Sean Bean. I know, I know. WE all know Sean Bean. He's a well known person. But have you ever seen him in the leading role in anything besides Sharpe? No. For some reason he doesn't get the best, he gets the second best.

Pick me pick me! I'd love to join! I love incredibly unknown authors and bands, and a few actors. You guys know that guy Phil in National Treasure? I'm a big fan. He's like a stunt person or something. Moving on now.
Some of my favorite songs are by very unknown bands, like Trading Yesterday, The Evan Anthem, Canton Jones, The Fold, Michelle Tumes, Search The City...etc. If you've heard of any of these bands/artists, I shall love you forever.
I love to read, and I have several authors that I obsess over. Joan Bauer's work is incredible! It's hilarious and perfectly clean for younger readers. Melody Carlson is another one, along with Francine Rivers and Kristen Heitzmann.

^I've heard of Michelle Tumes! I bought one of her albums. It's lovely to listen to- reminds me of Enya. I'll have to remember these authors and look them up.

I now love you forever. Yay for Michelle Tumes! I have her Dream cd, and for many years I've continued to go back to it and obsess over it. It's so beautiful!
Those authors are indeed incredible. Francine River's work can be a little mature at times, but she is a Christian author and her books always point to God.

Hehe, it's good to be loved. I have her self-titled album (on mp3) and I really like it! I'll have to look for some of her other music.

^^I'll have to start looking those up!
Welcome Legolas.
If I took the time to name my underrated classics, we'd be sitting here until summer. But one I'd like to mention: The Philadelphia Story. It's a brilliant romantic comedy with an AMAZING cast that no one seems to know about.

@ Nurr - YAY!! I love Jensen Ackles as well, but what about Jared Padalecki!?!?! The boy is amazing, but like Ackles, I have only seen him in Supernatural. (Although I heard he appeared in a show called Gilmore Girls once.) Anyhoo, those two hotties need to be in MOVIES!!!

May I join? Jared was in Gilmore Girls for some time, a good 4-5 seasons, I do believe. He was also in the horror movie House of Wax, I do believe it's called.
Jensen Ackles I know from Smallville where he played Jason Teague for a good season. I didn't fully appreciate him until Supernatural however.

Sure thing Kit!
Jared may be good, but putting him next to Jensen....It's like comparing a puddle to the ocean. Though I agree, both are great and don't get the attention they deserve. Jensen is in a movie called Ten Inch Hero but there isn't any information on when it will be released.
