yay, my first members! ![]() I read mostly fantasy, sci-fi, Christian thrillers. The large bulk of my reading is probably Christian, but I also enjoy alot of books like Eragon and Star Wars novels. My favorite author of all time is Ted Dekker, but I also like Karen Hancock, Paolini, Matthew Stover, Troy Denning, and Bryan Davis. If you really interested in knowing about the kind of books I read, you can click on the website link in my section. That'll take you my book review center on Amazon. I only have about 100 reviews up so far, but I'm planning to add alot more over Christmas break. |

Okay...I'm definatly in...I'm known as "the bookworm" and am proud of it! ![]() Oh, and like you, Shieldmaiden, the majority of my reading are Christian novels though I LOVE fantasy books too...like anything by Tolkien and anything with the glittering words "Star Wars" on the cover! Eragon/Eldest I love too along with the Redwall books, Dragonspells, and Shadowmancer (which I'm currently working on). I love non-fiction too though and checked out a really neat-looking book on Alexander the Great at the library...*gasps for breath* Hehehehe, sorry if that was a mouthful! ![]() Edit: I can't believe I forgot classics!! I read those too....The Scarlet Letter I just love along with Ivanhoe and some of Stevenson's stuff...ya, I'm a geek, but I'm proud of it...maybe it has something to do with me being homeschooled.. ![]() |

^ oh wow, you are sooo like me, it's scary. You're also homeschooled like me. That rocks! So what are your favorite Christian fantasy authors. Have you read Karen Hancock? She's an amazing author. Arena was her best book. What about Bryan Davis? His Dragon in our Midst series is the coolest dragon series I've read, except for Eragon. And I'm definitly considered a bookworm. You know you read too much when your parents give you a bookshelf for your birthday. lol, I couldn't even fit all my books on it too. |

My favorite Christian fantasy authors are Tolkien, Lewise, L.B. Graham, and Donita K. Paul who wrote Dragonspells....its the coolest Dragon book I've read exept for Eragon. Another author I like is Frank Periti...I've learned from experience not to start a book by him after nine-o-clock because I can't stop reading till I finish! ![]() |

I read Beyond the Summerland a couple months ago. I keep meaning to check out the next book, but my library doesn't have it yet. I also read Dragonspell. That was a good book, though I think I liked Dragons in out Midst more. I've ordered DragonQuest at my library so I should be readign that one soon. Frank Peretti is an awesome author. I didn't much like his newest book, Monster, but all his other stuff is great. If you haven't checked out Ted Dekker yet, you should. His writing is alot like Peretti's. In fact, Peretti and Dekker are coauthoring a book together (House) that's coming out next year. I can't wait! Just the thougth of what those two could come up with together gives me shivers. ![]() |

I'm a NR: NJO fan myself. Star by Star was THE best Star Wars book ever. I love Jaina Solo. Have you read any in the Dark Nest series? It a fairly good series, but I'm really mad with what they did with Jaina. |

Really?? Most of the SW books I've read are OR....Obi-Wan is my favorite SW character in OR, Luke Skywalker in the New...Barriss Offee I just luve...she puts Anakin in his place! I haven't read the Dark Nest series yet but am working my way there...from what I know, Jaina seems pretty cool but I'm more a fan of Luke. The best SW book I have ever read was Stovers "The Revenge of the Sith". It was awesome!!! You should read it if you haven't... *grumble, grumble* Mom just went to the bookstore and didn't take me... |

*sob**sob*sniff* That was a great review Shieldmaiden...it brought back the saddness and despair of the book...if it hadn't been for Obi-Wan and his wry humour, I don't think I could have made it. Hehehehe, "People who think all babies are cute really need to get more". That was so funny! ![]() |
