I was bored (hint: never a good sign when I am bored. odd tthings tend to happen) So I was looking at LotR pics, and I saw the one when Pip and Gandalf are one shadowfax, who is reared, and the fell beast is on the wall. and I thought.... hm this could be interesting. So I pirinted out the pic, and that of a leaping squirrel, and cut and pasted till it looked like a fell squirrel. And then I gave it to my english teacher. She yellped when she saw it and kinda hurridly spit out a question 'What is that thing?" |

^Really...I had no idea thats what Eowyn called them. I don't think that's their proper name, I think that might be the fell beasts name in Rohirric. I could be wrong... |

*peers into little red book of wonderfulness* Dwimmerlaik, according to my book, means illusion. She insulted him by calling him a trick of Sauron's magic. |

I like them! I guess I'm glad they're not like birds. |

My guess of why they didn;t make the fell beasts like in the book: In the book they were described as large fetherless birds. Have any of y'all see a fetherless bird? It's not scary, its creepy. And not the scary creepy. Making giant naked birds would, well, make more people sniker tahn cower with fear. |

Yeah, the Fell Beasts are cool, and actually, they're exactly how I imagined them. I think it's hilarious that they used the sound of a wild donkey for the Fell Beasts....^_^ Obviously it was mixed with something else, but....a donkey and a Fell beast are not exactly on the same level in terms of ferociousness. |
