The date on which Aragorn and Arwen were wed was Mid-year's Day TA 3019. Is it ever said what day that was? (ie day/month)

Here's what the Encyclopedia of Arda says:
Also called Loëndë, the day that fell in the middle of the year was an important feature in many of the calendars of Middle-earth. On a modern calendar, Midyear's Day would be 22 June.

Thank you! I asked one of my friends and that's what she said too. I appreciate it.

Thank you so much! I love to run around on special TLotR days and celebrate but I had no idea when to celebrate Aragorn and Arwen's anniversary.

Mid-Year's Day - Loëndë - 22 June - June Solstice - Midsummers Day - Celtic Fire Festival - St John's Day. The night before is Midsummers Eve. The festivals usually occurred a day or two after the solstice.

As JRRT confessed - "alas" - that he was a natural niggler, so have I done so about being (or having become) a natural grump more than once in posts here and elsewhere. Forgotten that already? (oh, right ... we're almost the same age ... sorry!) Problem(s) - are you not aware that this has become a non-word? Issues - oops, no, the relevant mental zombie term is "challenges"!!! Well, at least I got it on the second try. And last, I am "not amused" (to use a term popularized by the current British monarchy, or at least those of the media specializing in "coverage" of the same) at being reminded that the improvement of my memory functions shows vague signs of having coming to a standstill, or something to that effect, in some past decade. But to look on the positive side of the effect, I'll probably have forgotten about that tomorrow or so ...

Not sure why you bothered posting here if you have absolutely nothing to add to the topic.

My reason for posting: Your stupid question - and whatever the über-parasites of our times, consultancy companies (McKinsey & Co. - practically all anglophone) have been driveling about for decades, yes, there are stupid questions.

Gandolorin wrote: Erm ... almost a month ago ... whatever ... Erm ... my "stupid" as you say, question ... came after you posted the above uselessness. I WILL give you credit in that it was probably your most understandable post ever, as you didn't write your usual paragraph of blather to say absolutely nothing. Usually Books forums are a place to have meaningful discussions, not for posting for posting sake.
Anyway, Have a nice day you old grump.
