My brother watches Family Guy religiously, but the only show on that list that I find enjoyable is King of the Hill. But it's probably a lot funnier to me than someone in, say, England because that's my life. Someone who's never lived here typically has the response of "Haha, that's funny. Those silly fictional rednecks." But around here, nearly every episode will start some conversation about "Hey, remember when...?"
I live that culture and the people in it. I know the sanctity of Friday night football, the significance of back-yard barbeques. There's a boy in our school band who everyone calls Bobby because he acts, looks, and even talks like Bobby Hill. My dad is known by friends and family (even his employees) as the real-life Hank Hill. I even met a Dale once.
So yeah. I'm not much of one for the other shows (though I've watched Family Guy a few times with my brother), but King of the Hill is definitely amazing.
