For the record, I have never once seen a previous Terminator film, nor have I seen an episode of the current TV series, but when I looked up the information on this movie and saw the previews for it.

I am stoked.

Like, really, really stoked.

For one. Christian Bale. John Connor.
For two. Bryce Dallas Howard (for those unawares, she played in Lady in the Water and The Village, two personal favorite movies for me---she also played Gwen Stacey in Spider-Man 3). Kate Connor.

=]

Me gusta mucho.

I'm with you on that Kit. Never seen more than 5 minutes of a Terminator film but this does look like it could be worthy of my eyeballs.

Shame on you both :P
The Terminator movies are just excellence...imo anyways lol. As is the Sarah Connor Chronicles tv series.

But yeah..I'm very very psyched for the new movie. Christian Bale was a great choice for the role and has signed on for a full trilogy.

From someone who has seen the previous films, Phoenix, would we be totally lost if we wanted to see this one without seeing the previous ones? :p

tbh I'm not sure, because I'm not entirely sure how the movie is going to pan out. I've been avoiding as many spoilers and such as I can. I want to to go into this with the wide eyed wonder I did with the first two movies.

I would say it wouldn't hurt to check the first three movies out. Get a feel for the story and the characters.

:teehee:

Well tbh, I do know the storyline a bit, what with my brother telling me and everything. So I know about John and his mother and the importance of his birth and things like that, so I'm sure I can get a crash course.

Well JF has one up on me in the storyline front.

I'm like a lost hatchling looking for its mother.

I keep lurking around wikipedia for film summaries. Lol. [bad] I will -try- to get my hands on the Terminator films, but my time is limited.

When I saw the preview for this film, I about lost it. Ha ha ha!

Frakking Christian Bale is probably the only reason I'll see it. :P

Yessss, I did see all the other films. Admittedly, I only saw numero tres because of Nick Stahl. ;) (I have NOT seen the TV series)

And I agree with teh Oh Wise Phoenix, because she is OH so wise. See the films.

I'm hoping Christian Bale won't be doing anything similar to his Batman voice because... the movie would be very difficult to follow regardless as to whether or not I've seen the previous films.

You crack me up girl.

Kit: I'm sure he won't use his Batman voice. Pretty sure he'll stick to his regular Americanised.

I was kidding, Phoenix. Yet still relieved.
