I'm just wondering, anyone here watched the movie in theaters?

I was thinking about it but ended up not going due to several things but what I am wanting to know... is it really "Starwarsish" or does it deviated from the trilogy movies into a subcatagory of it's own? (so to speak)

I watched it in the theaters and I've been watching the show avidly.

I'm as old school a SW fan as you can get and I love it.

Sweet, that's good to know. :)

I can't remember a time when I wasn't watching starwars. It was out before I was! lol And I had heard rumors that this animated thing wasnt' going to "Make the Cut" compared to the other movies. (if you know what I mean)

So are the episodes the same things as the movie they played in theaters or is it a completely different storyline?

My brother thinks it is the movie they played in theaters just broken up into episodes but I got the impression it was something different... could ya help us out with that?

I know a lot of Star Wars purists who simply hate it. Hate the story. Hate the animation style..hate it because it's not the original trilogy basically, which in this old fogey's opinion is very short sighted. To me it's very prequel-esque, which isn't a bad thing at all.

The movie was essentially the first 3 episodes of the series that the director decided to merge to make the movie. So the series pretty much just flows straight from there.

Someone else may say something different, but I feel the series has a slightly darker edge to it than the movie did. It seems to have a deeper sense of urgency because you're only getting a 25-30 minute episode.

The other great thing about the series is, it'll focus on the often ignored Jedi like, my own personal fave' Plo Koon. Asajj Ventress is also a huge character in this story which for me is also another plus.

If you don't mind the prequels, I can't see you not liking this.

I liked the movie, but it needed Republic Commandos. Heck, Cuy'val Dar, even. Skirata, the Nulls, and Omega and Delta all rock and deserved at least a MENTION. Prudii/Jaing might have had a cameo, though.

Gotta agree with you there!! I love the fact that it focuses on the other Jedi. (Plo Koon also happens to be my favorite, Eath Koth in close second)

The only problem I have with it is if Anakin had an apprentice then... where did she go in episode 3?

and Turwaithion you are completely right as well. I would LOVE to see some commandos in action! The only thing better than a Jedi or a clone trooper would be a force using clone trooper!

The commandos have to be my favorite clone troopers though.

I'd guess Asohka (ugh I can never spell her name lol) dies sometime during the series or during the Jedi purge.

Yeah, I would supose she does die then... but I would just think you would at least hear mention of her if she egisted in the movie. (which she didn't I don't think when they made episode 3... which is what makes it just a little contradictory)

And Turwaithion... I honestly have no idea what that means. lol :P

I haven't seen it, but I want to. I'm just wandering why Anakin has a padawan. It doesn't make sense...he's really not responsible enough, in my opinion.

Anyways, is this new show pretty much the same thing as the other Clone Wars tv show?

Yeah, verry true. I don't think (with the council's mistrust of him) that they would have realistickly given him a padawan. *shrugs*

I episodes have started airing I think on nickalodian or something. But you can go to starwars.com and watch for free all the ones that have aired so far. Here is the link for the time an channel http://starwars.com/
