Wow. I can't believe it's coming out in two weeks... November 7th. I'm a huge fan of the book... and I think this movie is going to do it justice.
(Especially seeing the 'R' rating... which I think it deserves. The book gave me goosebumps for a week.)
For people who might be curious: the book (and probably movie) has some religious undertones... but please don't dismiss it because of this. It's just a great story, if nothing else, and definitely one of the creepiest...
Anyone else going to try to catch it in theatres?

Lol. That's what I thought as well. *sigh* That would've been too good to be true.
I haven't heard of this book or the movie. It looks rather scary to me.

Haha, now I know where all the views are coming from... you crazy House addicts!
Yes, it's going to be very scary I imagine. I shall have to go see it with someone willing to hold my hand... seeing as was practically sitting in the lap of the guy next to me throughout King Kong, which is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.

You've got me intrigued, FM. What exactly is this book/movie about?

I've heard of the book. It was co-written by Frank Perettie, right? I read one of his other books (The Oath) and it was fantastic...and chilling.
I probably won't see the movie, because I'm more into reading horror then watching it. And I'm not allowed to watche rated R movies. XD

Well, Lar, to sum it up as short as possible...
Four innocent bystanders are trapped in a weird house with a madman/serial killer/demented freak. He plays a lot of mind games with them and scares them all out of their wits. He tells them that if they pick one person among them and kill him/her, then he will let the rest of them live.
As if this isn't bad enough, the house is absolutely wack, and is full of all kinds of bone-chilling oddities. Until one character realizes that the house is merely a reflection of whatever is on the inside of their hearts...
Very interesting. Yeah, Saffron, I read The Oath too... very good, but actually not half as freaky as House. ^.^

I thought the book was pretty good, but it had more Peretti elements that Dekker, like the evil is inside of you and such. I'm more of a Dekker girl. I won't be seeing the movie because I can't watch R movies, and I'd have a heart attack if I watched a horror movie. lol I know I can't stomach it. I'm anxious to hear what you guys think about it, though! It looks really creepy...
