Today, Dec. 9 marks the 3rd anniversary of the theatrical release of The chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in the U.S. Help celebrate by watching your copy of LWW today, or the day that you saw it.
Discuss it below, and any thoughts you might have on seeing it again for like the millionth time *lol*

so you've never seen PC? How do you know how badly or how well they strayed from the books? Never judge a book by its cover or by the reviews. I ended up seeing it with a neutral attitude and came away loving it. maybe you should do the same.
I finished watching it over lunch with my parents. Nearly cried again when Aslan died but for some reason, I couldn't.

18 months! 18 months my friend has had my copy of LWW and she still hasn't given it back! She's got my copy of Madagascar as well
I want to watch it again..
I haven't watched PC either Jax Nova. I want to but I couldn't afford to go see it at the cinema and BT Vision haven't got it atm .. (we don't go to Blockbusters etc to rent DVDs as it's too expensive and they are always scratched... we just pay per view for each film though our TV subscription..)

you guys should TOTALLY watch PC! sure, it was different from the book, but it was still very good in its own right. I love it at least as much as the book... if not a tad more.
Gosh, 3 years? And to think, I didn't even know when it came out... I thought it released into theaters closer to Christmas. silly me. But then again at that time I was waaayyyyy too into LotR, that was when I was a LotR junky all the way. so yeah, hopefully I can be pardoned for not remembering the details of LWW's release. I just didn't have room for Narnia at that time. and now I regret it. Anyway, I didn't get involved with the Narnia movies until... er, a little while after LWW came out onto DVD. And even then I wasn't OVERLY into it. Actually this Christmas will mark the one year anni that I've owned the movie. *nods*
Buuuutttttt, I really should watch LWW today to commemorate the special occasion... though I sadly probably won't. It'll be on ABC Family this Friday evening so I do intend to watch it then.

lol... Hravan I feel sorry for you. I have cousins that borrow movies and never return them so I know how that is.
Yeah... I pretty much never go see things in theaters and rarely buy the DVDs unless it's starwars. I'll probably just wait for it to come on TV to watch it.
Calloniel (PD): I will agree with you there. From what I have seen PC is a great movie in it's own right... but when you are doing a re-make... I dunno, I just like it to be the same move they remade just better... not a different movie. *shrugs* that's just me.
But when it comes on TV i will watch it.

ooh, I would be demanding my copy back!!!!!! Just kidding; I wouldn't have even loaned my copy out. if I've bought a movie, I don't loan it out because I know how people can be with stuff.
*and personally, I don't think Blockbuster is worth it; if you have a library card and a library near you, you might try going there; it usually costs little to nothing to get a card and little to nothing to check out a movie there. *
and the film would've been boring had it been exactly the same as the book or exactly the same as the first one.

Well, the nearest library that would have anything like that would be at least 60 minutes away. lol
Well, *shrugs* each to his/her own. When they re-make a movie I want to see the same movie, just better, as I said above. but that's just me I guess.

Yeah, but like I said, and apparently nobody sees this, Adamson and his writers were trying to make films that would appeal to an audience who has never read or heard of the books.
If you don't want to see it, then don't. But don't say it's terrible based on what someone else has said. it's very unfair to the cast and crew.

lol I'm not saying the movie was terrible Petra, I'm simply saying it's not how I hoped it would be. It's like getting a green laptop for your birthday when you hopped for a red one... it's not that big of deal, you love them both, but you just hoped for green.
My comments don't cast any negative light on the cast or crew, they all did an excelent job.
And if Adamson wanted to make a film that would appeal to an audience that had never read or heard of the books then he did a fine job, but I would like to think the audiance would have liked it if he stuck clsoer to the books as well. *shrugs*
As I said before, this is simply my personal preferance. I would have liked to see it closer tot he book, but just because it isn't doesn't mean it's a bad movie it simply means it's not what I hoped it would be.
