I didn't see this thread on the boards, so I thought it would be cool
to discuss the movie.

I REALLY REALLY loved Gladiator! it was such an awesome movie,
but the way he died in the end was like I thought all good guys were supposed to live But he went to a better place so yeah.
I really liked Russel Crows acting in it too

Oooo...I love Gladiator! It's such a sad movie, and I thought it was brilliantly acted/written/directed. I really like the song played during the end credits "Now We Are Free."

I liked the movie, as well. I think the ending was refreshing because most people expect the main character to live happily ever after with the Emperor's sister.

I love Gladiator! Every time I watch this movie again, I have to whine again.
The end is the best one the movie can have: the whole time the matter of his family came again and again, so it would be very stupid if he had survived and married Lucilla and so on. The movie is so tragic, a happy end were not good.

I love this movie!! Russell and Joaquin were reeeally good in it!

I loved it too. I bought the soundtrack straight after seeing the film. I loved the end theme song as well. Lisa Gerrard has a beautiful voice

Defiantley one of the greatest movies in history. Russel Crowe was amazing, and the action was great... hated the Prince-who-loved-his-sister (the character), though... I love that movie!!! I like the opening battle scene with the fire arrows and the catapults and everything. Russel Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix are such cool actors.

OOo! Gladiator! I love the ending to this movie so very tragic! But sooo good! I loved the music to this movie as well, in fact I have the soundtrack! It's excellent! I love the song "Now we are Free" too, in fact I listened to it before I went to bed last night

It's such a good movie. I'm not a big fan of Russell Crowe, I mean, don't get me wrong, he's a great actor...just not a huge fan. Joaquin Phoenix was AMAZING in this movie. As much as I hated his character, I was still sad when he died...and then of course Maximus' death. Well, more than anything I pitied Joaquin's character. I just think he needed a hug. Ha ha ha. But maybe that's my biased opinion 'cause I love Joaquin.
When I saw this movie for the first time, I was blown away. I didn't know what to expect because everyone was talking about it...and I hate seeing something when it's so popular (weird logic, I know). But it was so breathtakingly emotional and powerful. I love this movie...and the music rocks!!! It's just one of those movies that makes you want to go out and do something to change the world. *cough* Yay!

That is one of the best movies ever. I also thought it was the most gory one I've seen, but then I saw Troy. Anyway, I love that movie.
