I've finally reviewed the movie on my blog, if anyone wants to look :) I had a lot of fun poking fun at it, but I actually did like it, despite what you might think :P

Speaking of poking fun at Aragorn, i mean Eragon you'll notice my siggy, which indeed makes fun of Eragon

Saw it a while ago with some friends. It was...*cough*
We went to a 10PM, showing, so the theater was almost empty. We didn't realize the advantage of this until after we'd wasted a half hour being bored and/or moaning. Then we started a running commentary. The movie actually works quite well as a comedy, with very little modification. We're considering re-dubbing it.

In all seriousness, it felt like they skimmed the plot just well enough to see the words BOY and DRAGON. Then they put a bunch of money into some nice sets and CGI. Then they auctioned the director's job off to the lowest bidder. The settings were nice, but the actors were bad, the cutting was poor, and...it just seemed like they left the heart out of the movie.

I feel really bad for Christopher-- I'm sure he was excited to get a chance to have Eragon be a movie, and this must be such a disappointment for him.

I read that Christopher wrote part of the script, so he is mostly responsible for the lacking script. Blah. Hey! I thought it would make a good comedy too! My friend and I spent most of the time sadly making fun of Eragon's tight leather pants.....:P

However, I agree that the scenary was extremely lovely...it made up for some of the errr....acting.

Meldawen, nice review! Thank you for the explanation on why Saphira's wearing different armor.

Take it back! Take it back if only for Jeremy Irons! [but other than him, that's completely accurate.]

Lol thanks :) I thought it was halfway plausible....you know, every set of armor's got to have an alternate set to go on a stand! Maybe it's a weird fashion trend in Alagaesia :P

Yet I read on www.shurtugal.com that Christopher had nothing to do at all with the script.

Ooh, and VERY nice review Meldawen! Loved it!
