I saw it last night! two words: LOVED IT! just kidding. I wish I could say that. but I "hated it"

I hatd Saphira's wings! I didnt know she was a bird. :eyeroll: and yeah. I thought they skipped like half of the book. I guess everyone was right--it was a horrible movie. Though, my little bro (who has never read the book) said it was good. and I told him "if you read the book first then saw the movie, you probably wouldnt like the movie then" and Murtagh didnt get enough screen time.

lol. and I thought that part with Arya when Eragon was having a connection with her and she was in the woods. she was all girly. twirling around her dress and whatnot. stupid. :p

ah well. though Durza was awesome! :D

I just bought this movie. I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters.
It was alright. I can think of probably a hundred movies that are way better. It's just lacking something.
I really liked the shade. He was really evil and cruel, and he just made a really good badguy. The actor that played eragon was kinda wimpy. :disgust: Very disappointing. I really adored Garrett Hedlund as Murtagh, he is really hot.
They should have made the battles a little longer and added some more magic. Doing that would have made it a lot better.

I do believe the whole point of this movies was for kids. Which I think my nephews might like like the dragon, but other than that the story line would probably go right over the top.

So true. It is just a movie people!! If you didn't like it then don't watch it.
I happen to like Durza too. The movie would be worser off without his charater. They could have done a little better job, but that tends to happen when people turn books into movies. They never fit everything in and it never reaches the viewers standards.

Okay, I just watched Eragon. Murtagh was way cute. Brilliant actor too...judging by what little air time he was given that it is. :annoyed2: Um Eragon's actor was okay as was Arya and their characters. Then Bron was amazing! Oh, great actor and Very interesting character. The plot...a good starting point. However it didn't give enough information...I haven't read the book yet though. (please don't eat me). It didn't tell if Brom was Eragon's father, if not Brom then who was Eragon's father, was Arya Eraogn's mother, if Arya wasn't Eragon's mother who was, what is Murtagh's full story, does Bron uh come back to life some how since they preserved him like in the ice, and did Eragon take the king down? Edit: Well I just looked it up on Wikipedia and I'm not suposed to know all of that yet. :duh: I wish that I had known that it was a trilogy going into to...I really should have done my homework first... Well, is there going to be an Eragon two? A squel two the movies I mean? If there is going to be second and hopefuly a third then the movie was good. However if they don't come back soon and finsh it...then I didn't like it. I wil be paitent to hear the end of a story but I want to know for sure that the story eventualy will end. Could somebody help me out with that...will there be another Eragon movie?

they explain who's Eragon's father in Eldest. and Arya's mother is in Eldest. Murtagh tells his whole story to Eragon and Saphira in the book.

yup..Im pretty sure there'll be a 2nd one.

I want there to be a second one, but then again I don't... If they did this do Eragon, what will they do to Eldest?

They made it worse! :annoyed: And my silly friends made me go watch it with them... I was appalled: "Oh... my.. goodness..." *covers eyes in self-pity*

The Urgals were incredibly funny though. Like Larael said a few million pages back... reminded me of those silly old ogres from Elle Enchanted. Very intimidating :teehee: I think that was the only thing that was worth watching... a little entertainment.

Ahh... I do not think that they should film Eldest. A very bad idea... very bad....

Ok, I finally saw the movie... and find myself wishing, to some extent, that I hadn't. :hide: It was painful. That's about all I can say. Completely the wrong actor for Eragon, Nasuada was faintly hideous, non-existent character development (aside from a couple suddenly-revealed facts - "You're a dragon rider?!" "You're Morzan's son?!"), Galbatorix's odd speech impairment, the mummified beetle stand-ins for the Ra'zac, Saphira's .3 second growth-spurt, and the fact that the whole movie was about half the length that it should have been. I mean, it took Brom and Eragon, what, a week to get to the Varden? 20 minutes from when Eragon meets Murtagh? (Not to mention the fact that Murtagh's scar was in the wrong place  Was Morzan in an artistic mood, and just started carving patterns in his son's stomach? *shudder*)

The only real bright spot for me was Brom (preferably when he was yelling at Eragon :P). I was surprised, actually, at how much I liked him as a Dragon Rider-turned-Ranger.

Arya was a lot better than I expected, too, but she still could've been a lot better.

Anyway, there's my little rant. xD I do realise that it's just a movie, but if they plan on making the second one, please hire a new director.

And design team.

And writer.

A new producer probably wouldn't hurt either.

and I likes the movie now. I just got it yesterday. To me: its just a different story. its not the book really. but I liked it nevertheless.
