I definitely loved it!!! Not only was the Phantom amazing, but Emmy Rossum was really beautiful as Christine! And I thought that Minnie Driver was hilarious!
Can anyone tell me who wrote the book?

YAY! I just watched it too! But we better stick to the topic..heh heh. I'm pretty sure the author is Gaston LeRoux too. Wow...speaking of which I haven't watched the movie or read the book in a while.

You might want to read "Phantom" by Susan Kay as well. I didn't care for Leroux's book, but Susan Kay's version of the story was soooo sad and she goes DEEPLY into the psyche of Erik. Her book chronicles his life from birth to death.

Really? I think I'll try that. Yeah...the original is kinda getting a bit boring, but I'm glad it was made. If it wasn't then there wouldn't be other versions! No plays, movies, ahhh! Thanks beware! It sounds interesting because the movie made me feel for Eric. (Literally. The movie spirtually made a whole in my body and touched my heart....just joking. )

I loved it! My favourite movies used to be Star Wars, and I really thought nothing could be better than those movies. Then I decided to watch Phantom because it seemed interesting. It really became my favourite. I love the story, characters, music and environment, everything!

I voted no because I haven't seen it yet but I might see it on monday if my babysitter(mostly for my little bratty brothers) brings it for me she likes it and she said she'd put the little ones to bed so we can watch it together my little brothers will watch a movie in their room.

I'm pretty new to the whole "Phantom craze" going on, as I've only just gotten my hands on the movie. Boy did I love it! The music was spectacular, the story was amazing, the actors were beautiful, and the singing was unlike anything I'd heard before.
Right now, I'm searching for the book. I already own one by Gaston LeRoux, but I also got one from the library by a Kate something-or-other. Is there an "official" or "original" book? I'm having trouble knowing which one to read.

I love The Phantom of the Opera...I might have to watch the movie tonight.
I love the movie but nothing beats seeing the play live on stage.

I just saw it for the very first time....musicals aren't really my thing so I didn't like it as much as I thought it was...
however, the acting and everything was great and I do understand how anyone who likes musicals would really love that movie! I did actually like the soundtrack...kinda neat!
