hmmm, well, I don't really have much to add on the subject of Susan other than Anie, RA, and Nienor, you guys have all presented really good arguments.... It has been interesting to read them all over and to think about it... and I have to say in some way I agree with what all of you have said about the matter and Lewis' point in it.  Nienor, I think I have to side the most with you here though because Susan's still one of my favorites so I can't just abandon her... and I think you're right about her coming back someday. I mean, that's the nicest way to think about it without getting totally depressed! And it makes sense... you don't just leave your faith. You might get lost for a short time or embarassed or whatever, but most of the time you don't just up and walk out.
Anie, Puddleglum is a ???  he's in Silver Chair? anyway, I look forward to reading about him!

Puddleglum is a Marshwiggle...they're very hard to describe, let me see if I can dig up a pic for you. But he's amazing, I love him! He makes me laugh. 
...something like that. Although a tad taller and skinnier in the illustrations in my book. But you get the idea.
And yeah, Georgie got all excited on the kids/director commentary when her older sister came onscreen. It was cute!  _________________

Thanks for sharing your opinions, Nienor. I like to hope that Susan will go to Narnia forever one day, too. (And when you were talking about belief mingled with doubt--wow. That is something I struggle with every day. Blind faith just isn't a choice, and I think I sympathize with Susan in that way. So seeing her abandoned at the end because of her doubt--well, that sort of tore me apart. Anie, ok, thanks for the pic! Well, I've just started Silver Chair and I've, of course, looked through the book and at all the pics... so now I have a better idea of what he looks like. I can't wait to get more into it...
awww, that's sweet! I need to listen to that commentary... it's on the normal dvd, right?
you know what I think I'm THE MOST excited about for Prince Caspian? It's seeing what they can do with Reepicheep!  I adore him! And after reading Dawn Treader I just love him all the more! *:hug: gles him* I hope they don't forget him or anything.  I noticed Trumpkin standing by Caspian in the trailer so at least they didn't leave him out...

Yeah, it is. There's that commentary and then I think there's one with just Andrew Adamson, but the one with the kids is the most fun. You get to hear all about Georgie's "potty-mouth bucket."  She's such a sweet little girl, I adore her!
 F-FORGET Reepicheep?! NO!! They can't! It just won't do at all!  That hadn't even occured to me...but I'm sure they'll have him. They have to! The part where he loses his tail is just awesome! (Well, not so much the tail-losing part, but the part where his army offers to cut their own off. ) They can't leave Trumpkin out either, he's one of the central characters!  _________________

That's what I thought too! But I just looked on IMDB and I can't find any actor listed as playing his voice... but surely they can not leave him out! He plays such a key role in Dawn Treader (but also PC )!!! I hope maybe he's still just too small a charrie for them to list him *keeps fingers crossed*. They do have Trumpkin listed though... and like I said you can see him in the trailer, so at least that's good. But the White Witch? They can't bring her back that's just too... weird. It never happened in the book, at least.
Oh another thing I can't wait to see it Peter fighting Miraz! Oh, I know what you mean, but I'm sure it's up to the task. I agree! This is one of those fun ones. Um, long story...that girl apparently has the best ear for hearing somebody swearing, and everytime they swore they had to put a quarter in the potty-mouth bucket. I thought it sounded hilarious. (Aww, really? How come?  ) I'm curious to know who does his voice too...but I'm sure they'll get somebody good. And I'm glad our fears were put to rest. Ooh, that'll be so awesome!! Oopsies. I forgot about old Caspian in that one. Sorry. 
Yeah, that's why I love cast commentaries, they always talk about funny things like "we stayed at a haunted hotel" or "it wasn't my fault that boat capsized". (If you know what that second one is from, you win! ) It's really funny. All four of them seem like nice, fun people.
(Oh, okay, fair enough I guess. It's too bad though, I think she's absolutely adorable. )
"Do you think this wise, [girl]? Crossing blades with a pirate?"  (Well, at least my husband is a pirate...and yours...isn't. JK!) But yes, I absolutely adore him! Especially in Dawn Treader. He's a bit like Gimli, isn't he - he doesn't want to believe he's small. _________________

that's alright... at least you don't have to "see" him for too long. It's just he was quickly becoming one of my fave charries and to see him get old... yeah. It was even like that for Mr. Tumnus (sp?).
lol, aye, aye! three cheers for cast commentaries! hmm, I actually don't know where either came from. what movies are they?
(yeah... it is. She never bothered me much. but my friend and I are still gonna go see PC sometime after it comes out... not sure when. I would so LOVE to see it the day it comes out though! )
well, it might not be wise, but I'm doin' it anyway. (ha, actually if you think about it Becky could be a pirate... just a legal one.  ) hmmm, I've never thought of that before, but I guess he could be a bit like Gimli.
Oh, and you know what! Unless the site was just fooling with me, I saw on a Ben Barnes site today that Dawn Treader is coming to theaters next year! Huzzah!!!

Yes... But you'll absolutely LOVE the ending of The Last Battle in that case! Except for the whole Susan bit. But you see Tumnus and I think even Caspian again, and they're young and carefree and alive and it's just such a beautiful scene it made me cry.
Aye! Um, I can't remember where the haunted hotel one is from...I'm almost sure it's from She's the Man but I'm not positive. The capsized boat is John Rhys-Davies, AKA Gimli, talking about the boat he and Orlando were in. Apparently it tipped over during filming, and he refused to be held responsible.
(That's fun! I totally would go to the midnight showing first night, but the next day is a school day...making it a bit difficult. I'll probably just go on the first day, after school.)
Very well then... *draws sword*  Do your worst! (Yeah, yeah, but I mean a REAL pirate. You know, pillaging, plundering, rifling, and looting, drink up me 'earties yo ho? ) Just in attitude really...pay no attention, I see parallels everywhere now.
Ooh goodie!!! I'm now uber-excited! Especially to see dragon-Eustace...

hmmm, ok then... I can't wait! Oh, that sounds so awesome! whee and thankfully I'm more than halfway through The Silver Chair so The Last Battle is coming! I've heard lots of good and sad 'bout that book, so I'm really interested in reading it for myself!
Ok, well, I wouldn't know either way. but now that you say that one from the FotR commentary I do remember listening to that part! lol How great!
(lucky you! I'm not sure when I'll go... although I was actually thinking of just walking down to our, umm, not so great theater just to see it on the first day! That is, if they have it on the opening day! )
alrighty! no, wait! What I need to say is "Aye, avast!" hehe (hmmm, good point.... although Becky is pretty pirate-y in his own, "legal" way, he can't be considered a REAL pirate, I guess. ) you don't need to tell me that... I think I should know that by now about you.
Yeah, that should be interesting. I, personally, can't wait to see the Dufflepods! And see how they deal with the world's end part... that might be tricky to make it original and nothing at all like AWE. I mean, even while reading it I kept thinking about Pirates.
