AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Yes, that was neccessary.
WOW. That has got to be the best two hours of Lost I've ever seen. It was crazy and ridiculous, but it didn't leave me ballistically cliff-hanger-ed. And Des lives! And reunites with Penny! OHMYGOODNESS that was incredible! I was sooo happy...I just loved their faces...and them...awwwwww.
Other thoughts:
On Claire--what the heck?? That's it? Okay, appearing to Kate was really cool and all, but come on. One stinking line? Lame.
(Did anyone else notice she didn't speak with an Australian accent? Does this mean anything?)
On Locke--what the heck?? I would have never guessed it was him? How does he die? How can Locke die? Eh...eh...what?
On Ben--he totally owned. "If you mean time-traveling bunnies...then yes." All of him in the Orchid was amazing. And what's with there ACTUALLY being a gigantic frozen wheel? My jaw dropped. That's...just...I don't even know.
On Sawyer--awwwwwwwwwwwww. he's being all heroic and stuff.
(I knew it. I totally called he would sacrifice himself for Kate...)
On Michael--Christian apeparing was pretty cool. I was expecting for him to die, so no biggie.
On Jin--I really don't think he's dead. He's just not. Really. He can't be. No.
On moving the island--THAT was really cool. I wonder what on earth is going to happen with that...

Agh yeah I dunno I'm confused... What was up with that flashforward/flashback episode with Sun and Jin? Was it some more crazy time traveling? The parts with Jin were flashbacks and the parts with Sun were flash-forwards or something?
Yeah I know Locke was one of the last characters I would've expected to be Jeremy Benthem.

I am watching "Flashes Before Your Eyes" in Season 3. Does anyone notice that it is a lot like Final Destination?

Me too! I actually thought that Sayid was referring to Ben...

Ugh I wish. -.- Ben's interesting and all, BUT HE KILLED JIN. *goes after him with a chainsaw*
Yeah when the camera was barely showing the casket's top, I knew that it was going to pan down at the very end of the episode so I was listing off possible characters in my head (I was thinking Christian Shepard was most likely). And then the camera panned down and I was like GAHH WHAT THE...

You know, I totally forgot about Christian showing up to Michael just before he died. (And yes, Michael IS dead...so confirmed by an interview done by TVGuide.com -- no confirmation on Jin though ... SOOOO there is hope. Christ, there'd better be XD)
As for the Jerermy Bentham character. Well, for a while I was REALLY concerned it was Ben. But when Ben showed up at the funeral parlour, but my ideas to shame. XD For a while I didn't know who it was, and I considered it was Locke. I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I didn't put much thought into it until I saw his bald ass in that casket...and started cheering.
And then someone mentioned seeing the "alternative endings" to the episode. Had it been Des, I think I would have murdered some writeres. If it were Sawyer, I'd be sad but it'd be understandable in a way. (In a good heroic kind of way...) BUT, I'm really hoping those "alternate endings" don't have any other sort of meaning other than they were not used.

^Ah! I didn't consider that! No, seriously, if ANYTHING had happened to Des, there would be blood in the writer's offices, I can guarantee. Sawyer...I like him, but I don't LOVE him, not like Des or Charlie anyway. I would definitely miss him on the show. (But I doubt he'll be going away anytime soon. Too many people watch the show for him. )
WOAH. TIME OUT.
I just realized Aaron left the island without the DS ring.
They actually, ACTUALLY disregarded that entrie part of Charlie's actions-the ring, the list, everything.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. muchly.
Concerning Jeremy Bantham--when Ben appeared to Jack, I totally thought when we saw the coffin it WOULD be Ben--and it would be a totally mindblower and the crraziest ending EVER. Ben talking to Jack! And dead! AT the same time! Like Charlie! Hooray!
But, alas, Locke is dead. Far more confusing, really. They could have explained the whole 'dead but also here' theory. How can the show compensate when one half of its philosophical spectrum is six feet under?

Oh I'm sure we still have a lot of Locke's wisdom to still look forward too... I'm still not sure whether I like him or hate him...

I totally forgot. Apparently so did the writers. What the heck.
That makes me very angry.

That makes me very angry. ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH. I didn't even THINK about that. I second BOTH your anger! AAAAHHHHHHHHHH. BUT, I've just had a thought. They WERE all sort of in a hurry when they took off, right? I suppose it didn't really go through their brains to stop by Claire's tent/living area. I mean, Sun could have...to get blankets or something, but it's likely they didn't, you know? I think in the heat of the moment, the thought of getting off the island was more of a pressing issue. And Claire wasn't there to hang around her old spot to notice any of that stuff. And as far as I'm aware, DES is currently in possession of the note. What's happened to it is beyond me. Charlie left the ring in the crib...but the note was given to Des. And I don't think the writers ever came to explain WHAT happened to it. DAMN the writers for not going into that whole story line. *SCREAMS* I mean there was SOOO much potential and SOOO much material. The ring in the crib, Des with the note...Des telling Hurley...Hurley telling Claire. I mean SERIOUSLY. If this is not explained next season, I don't think there will be much point to watching. So, while I cannot forgive the writers for being so damn thoughtless, perhaps it was more of a logistical and realistic kind of thinking. Without Claire at her beach tent, there's really no need to hang out over there. (And besides, without Claire there, no one else would understand Charlie's ring being in the crib ) The NOTE just being forgotten is what's pissed me off. I mean even if Des lost it, that would've needed to be explained. But NOOOOOOOOOOO. Of course not. So all I can hope for, since EVERYONE has to go back to the island to fix things or whatever...HOPEFULLY Claire and Charlie and the ring and the note will all be cleared up. I mean, they should've done all that from the get go. GOD DAMN IT ALL TO HELL. I *beep* HATE THE WRITERS. smeagollum wrote: *is in tears* How dare they!!!!! How could they kill Charlie?! Yeah. Pretty much. Welcome to what my world was like this time a year ago. I basically disowned Lost until I saw a preview for it this January. And even then I considered never watching it again.
By far the most heartbreaking piece of television I have ever seen. *SIIIIIIIIIGH*
Charlie/Dom was the only reason I watched the show. (And as far as I'm aware, he was killed off because Dom asked to leave...hence the most powerfully and MOST heroic death of the series )
Okay, enough moping about my Charlie.

Clarlie is the only reason I watched it, and I really do want to disown it now.

About Claire and the ring...
There's still a chance for her to find it. I mean, it's still on the island, she's still on the island...so she still has a chance to find it... she says hopefully...
Don't know about the note though. I even forgot Des had it. Didn't forget about it, just forgot who had it...
But you're right, Montana. There was a lot of potential that they missed. I gues if they would've done a whole season rather than just half....

Okay, knowing that the note was in Des' posession, it makes more sense. (Btw, did Des ever learn what happenbed to Claire? Did he ever question: Gee, I wonder why Sun has Aaron? Shouldn't I be UPSET or something that Claire isn't here? *sigh*) With Claire gone, there's probably no one to really give the note to, so fine. Des keeps it, makes sense. But could they at least have showed it? You know, have Des go where' Claire?, remember the note, feel all sad...and then move on after a nice moment of remebrance?
*sigh*
*again*
As for the ring...when they were collecting Aaron's stuff or something someone could have found it. Another minute here: Sun goes to get another blanket from Claire's tent, sees the DS ring in Aaron's crib, sadly wraps it in the blanket...or something? Anything? Anyone?
Anyway. Enough head-banging over what could have been done.

Those are great ideas though...
I think Des just got to caught up in "these gyus are here to kill us the bad guy killed the good guy we ned to get off the island and omg the ship could blow up any second" to remember the note.
