yeah those are exactly my thoughts Riniel...I thought there would have been at least an episode about Claire dealing with Charlie's death in season 4, and I'm pretty upsed there wasn't one...
btw, have you guys seen the season 4 alternate endings? they pretty much shocked me!

Its like they completely killed Claire and what we would have thought a romantic mushy episode about her mourning Charlie... I must say I am MOST annoyed >.<

OMG! So, my fellow LOST fans, I have to tell people that will understand my excitement (I totally texted MB after this happened). So, I was at work today, making pizza and pasta in the kitchen and I decide to go check how well my pizzas are selling in our "Grab and Go Case" and I notice a guy out there looking at the pizzas, I think I may have gotten in his way but I don't really look at him because that's how I avoid getting the glare from people when I'm working . So, then I decide to go buy a smoothie from the "Beverage Bar" and while I'm over there, my friend Andrew (Who is obsessed with LOST) said "OMG!!! DID YOU SEE Daniel Faraday looking at your pizzas?!" I was like..."Lost!!!!" So, then I err go back over there, and yeah, it was him, he had on all black with a driver's hat, it was pretty awesome, he fit into the store really well . Seriously, Jeremy Davies, the guy who plays the uber smart scientist Daniel Faraday fellow on Lost standing 1 foot away from me looking at Corn Tortillas. He then looks at me and I say Hi and do the "nod" and then he nods and I leave. By this time, everyone in the kitchen had found a reason to be out on the floor stalking this poor fellow.
But now, all I'm left wondering is "Why is he in Montana of all places?"

That's completely fragglerocking amazing! I think I would have just passed out.
And by the way, there was a bit of discussion of favorite season earlier, and I'm a fan of the first season, personally. Back when the mystery was high, the plot line was straightforward, and so were the smart alec comments from Sawyer and Charlie. Well, and you can't forget Boone either.

waa Sidawethiel, you're so lucky! I wish I could meet some LOST actor too *coughsJoshHollowaycoughs*
I know that last year Desmond and Locke where here in Rome for some festival, but I didn't watch LOST yet :S
and Tar, nice to see you
I love the first season 1, and Boone was really cool. I miss the mystery of the first season, yeah...

Oh my GOSH Sidawethiel that is INSANE!!
I don't know what I would have done but it probably would not have been particularly graceful. (staring, fainting, the usual.)
Gotta feel sorry for the poor actors though. No matter where they go (even Montana! What was he doing in Montana...?) people will follow them.
I know, I love the first season. I was so sad when Boone died. I really would have liked to seen how his character would have done throughout the rest of the seasons. Plus, knowing now that the show does know where its going, it's fun to go back to the days when no one knew anything about Ben or Widmore and everything was so mysterious. And I LOVE first season Charlie. (But I do miss having Desmond around. And somehow, Lost isn't quite the same without the Ben-isms.)
And now...in addition to making me sad about Boone and Charlie...I feel sad when I see Claire in first season, cause it's like: BEFORE she and Aaron were separated and she turned into a zombie.

yeah the first season rocked definitely, but I agree with you Riniel...I mean, now Desmond is my second favourite character, and LOST wouldn't be the same without him. and Ben...well, he always have a plan, doesn't he? XD
also, if he manages to kill Penny, I'll personally kill him -.-"

I never really liked Desmond, but it could be from the Final Destination bit with Charlie.
Oh yes, Ben is amazing like that.
Sidawethiel, I'm jealous.

Wow . . . Sidawethiel, I am SO jealous too. I would have been hyperventilating. I'd try not to act like a crazy annoying fan desperate for a picture or autograph, but I probably would have anyway. Then again, I'd be too shy and shocked.
As for my favorite season . . . well, I found the first season as the most emotionally engaging. (Especially in Do No Harm when Boone dies and Shannon cries). But each of the other seasons has their episodes that are just as emotionally engaging as the season one episodes. It's just that season 2 and 3 weren't as consistent as season 1 was, and the writers began making serious mistakes (like focusing too much on new characters that were going to die anyway).
If we talk about how good the show is becoming intellect-wise, the show has gotten a lot more complicated since season 1. To me it isn't such a bad thing, even if ratings start dropping. I like that it has become so much more intricate and intellectually complex.
If we talk about plot-wise, yeah, season 2 got a bit slow, but the last third of season 3 was amazing, I thought.
All in all, holistically my favorite season would probably be season 1. A bit of the reason why season 1 was so good was because it was a first season. All the characters were fresh, their histories unknown and therefore their flashbacks were new and interesting, and the mysteries on the island were just being revealed and so were not too overwhelming.
Season 3 is probably my second favorite, mostly because of its second half or so when the plot really picked up.
But I love all of Lost.

Overall, I liked Season 2 best. Except, it could have been much better without one character and one episode.

I totally agree! That is one of the things I love about Lost, and why it's my favorite TV show: it is very complex and it tells a continuous, well-thought-out story that has lots of overarching themes and motifs. (Hehe, I sound smart now. )
But seriously. It makes you think. I learn something new every time I watch it. The pyschology of the characters is interesting. The plot is unpredictable!
*hugs lost*

Sorry for the double post... *shakes Lost thread awake*...
I finally recieved the first disc of Season 2 from blockbuster! *happy dance* And...I watched all four episodes last night.
Verrrry interesting. I really like how the first episode played out, though the fact that they kept repeating the same incident at the hatch OVER AND OVER for the first three episodes was slightly annoying.
And I loved 'Everybody Hates Hugo'. Poor Hurley! He needs a hug.
So, can't wait to get the next disc! Especially can't wait to see what happens with the Tailies.
I mean...okay, I know what happens, I've read episode synopses online. But I can't wait to see it.

Ehh . . . the Lost thread has been asleep.

That's actually my favorite element of the show - the character stories. I'm more intrigued by their stories, experiences, philosophies, and character development than other elements of the show. Oddly enough, though, I still can't say for certain who my favorite characters are. I love them all - or almost all! *hugs Lost*

YOU MET JEREMY DAVIES?!
(Yes, I do realize that post is almost a month old, but I don't care cause I'm hyperventilating here.)
All I can say is you lucky, lucky, lucky, lcuky, lucky, lucky, luck ad infinitum girl!! Daniel Faraday is my verrrry favorite character on Lost at the moment. That is TOO incredible. Good thing it was you and not me, I fear I would have caused a scene.
AH. You are so absurdly fortunate!!!
But I'm happy for you. And jealous. But happy too. Because he's the BEST character they've added since I don't-know-when! Did he have the amazing hair/beard when you saw him?
----
Okay, so now that we've got FM's fangirl moment out of the way... I have a proposition to make. I want to keep Lost flowing in my veins until Season 5... keep the fandom going strong y'know.
Sooo... I want to watch one of the season's over again (doesn't matter which, since I have the first three now.) And I was wondering if any of you guys wanted to do it with me?
We could pick a night, all watch it, and then all come in here to discuss the episode.
It's just an idea... anyway... I'd like to get some other input on it.

That plan sounds great FM! I just sort of don't have access to the seasons. But I'd love to discuss them. I'm at the mercy of Blockbuster Online when it comes to watching episodes now...
Ahhhhh I can't choose favorite characters. When I try to list them I end up listing the majority of the cast. But here we go...
Charlie Desmond Sawyer Sayid Claire Locke Hurley Daniel Sun Boone Ben Eko (just met him! He's awesome. )
Yeah, pretty much.
So, now that I'm in Season 2...
I'm not sure if I like it better than Season 1 so far. I've seen the first eight episodes, and, well, compared to Season 4 it seems like the writers don't know what they're doing half the time, especially when it comes to the Others. But obviously this season isn't about big mysteries; it's about characters. And while I love all of the themes and mysteries very dearly--they're my favorite part of the show, really-interesting characters are up there too. And the tailies are an interesting bunch.
Eko rocks, first of all. He seems very good-hearted underneath.
Speak softly and carry a large stick.
And as for Ana-Lucia, I don't like her, but I don't get all of the hate either. She's really interesting and I felt awful for her when I learned about her baby. While I definitely wouldn't support or like her if I was on the island, as a character she's good to have around. Her relationship with the middle-section should be interesting...
And I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I absoltely loved the first episode. Very, very well done. Might be the first time I enjoyed a Jack episode. The flashbacks were very moving and the whole story was told so well. In fact the first little arc of stories in the first few episodes was really good. I hated that Desmond left though! I was expecting much more Desmond than THAT.
And, ohhh, stupid Charlie!!! I can see even now that things are going to get bad.
Stupid Charlie! Stop being all second-seasony and get back to your wonderful first season self...
 hmph.
