I saw it in London yesterday and am thoroughly unimpressed. The plot stayed true to Georgiana's life [both public and personal] and the acting wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Fiennes was cruel and void of emotion as befit the Duke's character. Keira didn't do a bad job although I don't think she has the chops to carry a film by herself. Cooper was irritating, but I suppose that just because I don't like him.

If you're uncomfortable with implied sex, marital rape, and adultery then I wouldn't suggest seeing this movie as that's the main bulk of it.

Thanks for the rounded review. Yup, this is one I'll wait to rent on a rainy day.
