I know that Rhodes is supposed to be War Machine, but I REALLY hope they just introduce Don Cheadle as someone else. Because replacing Terence Howard with Don Cheadle is simply ludicrous. The only time I've found replacing one actor for another acceptable is Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal because they pretty much look exactly the same. But Terence Howard and Don Cheadle aren't even close.

I guess you're in for a little disapointment then I'm afraid. As Don will indeed be playing James 'Rhodey' Rhodes.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest. They got a better actor for the role and I look forward to seeing him kick some serious tail in the War Machine armour.
Seriously, IM2 is not about Stark for me. It's all about the War Machine baby

Jarvis rocks. It was a neat idea to make him a computer program, sets him apart from Alfred in the Batman series.
Snarky Computer Butlers FTW

LOL! Was he a computer in the comics as well, or just for the film?
I want to own a computer like Jarvis and a robot like Dummy. Is that his real name, or just what Stark calls him?

Is anyone else a little apprehensive about this movie? The first Iron Man was so epic that I'm afraid this one won't live up to it

I'm the same, LDM. I saw Iron Man AFTER all the hype and really enjoyed but, I didn't see for a sequel exactly, and now that Don Cheadle is replacing Terrence Howard as Rhodey... sigh.

I'm absolutely not aprehensive at all. I'm very excited..I mean...War Machine.
Sorry all you Tony Stark/Iron Man fans out there. This movie has been dubbed by me. Iron Man 2: WAR MACHINE YEAAAAAAH!
*cough*
Don Cheadle is a better actor and looks great in the War Machine suit. Bring it on.
@JF
This is comic book Jarvis:

Whaaaaaaat. At least he isn't a major character? I just hope Favreau can still pull off an epic movie AFTER the girl's been won and the enigmatic romantic hero persona has kind of... died at the end of the first movie.
*feels like an idiot* *wikies 'war machine'*

The girl was won? lol, I didn't get that vibe at the end, but maybe I'm rather dense in that area. Although isn't it comic book canon that it's Pepper/Hogan? Not sure, but that was what I heard around. I haven't read any of the comic books.
I have great respect for Don Cheadle, but I felt Howard made a great Rhodey.
And I just hate actor changes in general. D:

I didn't really feel like Tony won Pepper. More of a "he thought he got her, but she totally rejected him, busting his bubble and sending him into a downward spiral of alcohol and women, more so than usual".
Well, kinda. Because she totally did reject him at the end. I do agree about the romantic hero persona though, you can really tell from the trailer that he's fully embracing the hero persona and using it to his advantage, rather than helping others. I mean really, scantily clad women with glowing chest plates and hand plates dancing around, who does he think he is, Chingy?

ROFLOL
..and no Tony absolutely did not 'win' Pepper. I'd actually like Favreau to stick with comic book mythos and have Pepper hook up with Happy Hogan. They don't even need to show it on screen but allude to it, much the same way they did in the first movie with Pepper's dress that Tony "bought her" [lol]. Granted it's not a make or break thing for me, but it would be a nice nod and Favreau has stuck fairly faithfully to the mythos so far. Why stop now?
I understand there's a LOT of Pepper/Stark shippers out there. Hell prolly in comic book land as well. But, the idea of Tony settling down in a relationship just bothers me. He's just not that type. He's a womaniser at heart and always will be. Pepper needs stability and someone that can come home to her safe at night, Happy can provide that.
...and I just rambled. Oh well...uh...WAR MACHINE YAY!

OH THAT'S WHAT THE WAR MACHINE IS. Do I smell a bromance?
Maybe winning the girl was wishful thinking on my part. It just looked so hopeful at the end there, and in the trailer too. I'm not familiar with the comics, but now that you mention it I am definitely a Tony/Pepper shipper. What would you call that? Tepper?

Oh yah there's definete Bromance tendencies with Tony & Rhodey. They get matching suits...only Rhodey's is better
Tony/Pepper = Tepper? Yah I can dig that. A lot better than the alternative..which would be Pony lawl

I fully approve of bromance with Tony and Rhodey.
It's there, man.
I honestly can't see Tony/Pepper working in the long run.
But I can respect it, 'cuz there is a HUGE fanbase.

I understand how you could see the Tepper in the trailer. I mean, as he jumps out the...whatever it is, he yells "you complete me!" to what appears to be Pepper.
Also, I'm a definitely Don Cheadle fangirl. But it just BUGS me that they're trying to pass him off as what was previously Terence Howard. I mean, really?
