There's so many, I couldn't list them all, but a few are:
HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN in Star Wars
Eric Bana in Troy
Viggo Mortensen in LotR
Heath in A Knight's Tale
Jamie Foxx in Ray
Johnny Depp in Finding Neverland (if there was such thing as a tie in the Oscars, I think Jamie Foxx and Johnny should've tied for Best Actor)

Ooh, I want to make a list too.
Orlando Bloom, Pirates of the Caribbean 2
Tom Felton, Harry Potter 1 (or I'm hoping the 3rd one since I haven't seen it yet.)
Sean Astin, Lord of the Rings
Johnny Deep, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
As far as movie actors go anyway.

I'd have to say that my favorite actors are:
Sean Connery
Harrison Ford
Jimmy Stewart
Humphery Bogart
Peter Faulk

Christopher Lloyd
John Cleese
And they basically do a wonderful job in every part they play.
I also love Sean Astin in LotR
Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future
Viggo Mortensen in LotR
Sean Bean - in many movies

i may come back and update this when i'm a little more awake, but here are my first thoughts:-
- christopher eccleston in everything i've seen him in - he managed to scare me in the others, make me really dislike him in elizabeth, have me weeping in let him have it, and make me fall in love with him in doctor who
- orson welles in citizen kane - sooo charasmatic; he just draws you into the screen. plus, i've never seen anyone half as good as him at acting above their age
- celia johnson in brief encounter - someone quite rightly said she could read the phone directory and have you crying. she really does turn in a heart-breaking performance
- james mcavoy and steven robertson in inside i'm dancing - their performances just feel so honest and so sensitive
