I looove RENT! At first I heard that it was a theater only movie but I'm glad that that's not true cuz I want it on dvd SOO bad!! At first I was suprised by it but as the movie went on I grew to really enjoy it and appriciate it. It was weird seeing the guy from Law & Order in there singing and dancing and is gay, but it was a neat change seeing his full potential. I haven't seen it on Broadway but friends of mine who have said that they liked the movie better. But I'd love to see it on Broadway anyways. I loved the music in it and everything!

I didn't have the chance to see the movie, but I've been a long-time Rent fan, ever since the musical. I was lucky enough to catch the international touring cast when they dropped by here, and I must say, nothing can beat watching it on stage. I was surprised when I heard about them making a movie of Rent, but even more so excited, since I could see it again.
Now, if only they made Wicked into a movie with the original cast...

I <3 Jesse L. Martin (and Adam Pascal, and Anthony Rapp, and Idina Menzel, and Taye Diggs, and Rosario Dawson, and Tracie Thoms, and Wilson Jermaine Heredia... so basically, I <3 absolutely everyone in the cast!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) I could imagine how weird it would be for a Law & Order fan to see Detective Green (that's his character on Law & Order, right? I didn't watch it before I saw Rent, so I don't know for sure) singing and dancing around ontop of tables and kissing another guy, that would get me weirded out too. But he's an awesome actor and singer, and so are the rest of the cast members!!!!! And Itarille, I totally agree that they should make a movie out of Wicked w/ the original cast too! Even though I have yet to see it (I'm going on a field trip soon to see a Broadway show, and we're either seeing Hairspray or Wicked. I wanna see Wicked sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo incredibly bad!!!!!!!! If we end up going to see Hairspray instead, I'll explode. Either that, or I'll find some way to make my whole family go to NYC and go to see it, cuz the rest of my family wants to see it too.) I have the soundtrack and I listen to it all the time. It has such incredible music, just like Rent!!!!! I'm actually listening to a Wicked song right now!!! (As Long As You're Mine, a wonderful song by Idina Menzel {a.k.a. Maureen} and Norbert Leo Butz, tis so pretty!!!) So, yeah.

P.S. Oh yeah, 4 more days till Rent!!!!!!!!! Now I just have to convince my parents to let me get it...

I still can't get it. But I think I'm pretty close to persuading my parents to let me get it, cuz s few days ago I realized that my mom didn't know that it's rated PG-13. She apparently thought it's rated R, so hopefully I'm closer to persuading her to let me get it. But I saw it at my friends house a few days ago, and I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well go to the "request" part of the forum and just look on the first page and alot of the threads are for requests and some are claims. click on one and before you request just look at their work (thats what i always do) then go to the first page of their thread and most people have a form you have to fill out copy the form onto a reply post and fill it out
its really easy after a couple of times

OMG, I JUST GOT BACK FROM SEEING "RENT" @ A NEARBY THEATER!!!!!!!!!!!!! TWAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and a couple of my friends bought student "rush tickets", where we waited at the theater 5 1/2 hours before the show, and we got front-row seats, and because we waited, we only had to pay $23!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The play is so different from the movie, but it was still sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo incredible!!!!!!!!!!! The touring cast isn't as good as the original cast, but that's almost always the case (it's pretty rare that a touring cast, or any other cast for that matter, is better than the original) but they were still good. Most of the actors looked nothing like their characters, but oh well. But Tom Collins had dreadlocks - that I just couldn't get over (so did Angel, but they were much shorter and u rarely saw them cuz of her wigs). But the others' appearances didn't really bother me. There were some who were better actors than singers (Mimi especially), and some who were better singers than actors (Roger especially), but it balanced out pretty well in the end. There are some things that are soooooooooooooooo different from the movie, probably cuz they were added in for the movie. But it was still........ omg............ totally completely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If only twas the original cast......... or the movie cast.......... that would make it absolutely 100% perfect.
Oh, btw I FINALLY convinced my mom to let me get Rent on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twas on sale, so I begged and she let me get it and now I have it and I watch it all the time and tis amazing and I <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333 RENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!!!!!!!! I got the 2-disc, and I saw everything on the second disc. I <3333333333333 the alternate ending!!!!!!!!!!! That's exactly how the play ends. But I like the ending that they chose for the movie, cuz tis more suited for a movie, but I think the alternate ending is more suited for the play. But both are awesome, and I absolutely <33333333333333333333333 Finale B!!!!!!! I <3333333333333333333333333 Rent in general!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Cuz everything is Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeent!!!!!!!!!!"
