I think Idol is in most of the countries. At least we have one in Finladn. The name is juts a bit different. Here it's called "Idols".

I think Simon is definately the best judge, the only people who don't like him are the ones he doesn't put through so they vent their anger entirely on him just because he has a "mean man" rep.
He's totally right (most of the time) but I admit sometimes he is a bit unfair telling people they are no good just if they go out of tune a little or are a little nervous.

I know - I'm a complete sadist - but I love seeing people with ego's bigger than their singing talent being brought crashing down by Simon. Particularly when they leave assuring him that he has just missed out on the next big pop act by rejecting them.
But I do get a bit uncomfortable with some of the things that he says - like when he quite seriously suggested to a man who sounded a bit like Cher that he should become a female impersonator. The man was, quite understandably, offended, but Simon could not see that he had said anything out of turn.
There is no question that Simon is an excellent judge of musical talent - but sometimes I wish he would tone it down a little.

We used to have a version in Britain called Pop Idol but that doesn't run anymore. We now have The X-Factor.
Simon is a good judge because although people may think what he says is cruel it's in the performers best interests. If someone enters saying they are devoting their life to singing, and then sing like a cat being swung by the tail, it's only fair that he says that they should give up and move on in life. As far as I'm concerned if their were a lot more honest and caring friends and relatives out there most people who audition would not do so. Most people are convinced they can sing and the families say they can sing as well, when all their interested in is getting on the telly and being noticed rather than the person being humiliated.

I know, I know, sorry 4 double posting. Sorry but I don't like Ace. he's not hot, & he's not a very good singer. I like Chris (rocker dude! ) & Elliot the best, 4 the guys. For the girls, the 16 year old girl. (I can't remember her name.....it might be Lisa Tucker, though....I think it is...) & the girl who's Mom gives vocal lessons (lol, ya really bad w/ names....uhhh, I think it might be Samantha. not sure though. *is to lazy to google it.* lol)

Definitly yes. And he can't be kicked off the show because I was told he made American Idol. Where would the show be without him?

I was laughing my butt off to that comment. As mean as it might have been, Simon was only telling the guy the truth
