I'm still confused. It's just a book and a movie..and if it's fictional then why get all steamed up over it.

I agree, I don't get what people are so upset about. If you know it's fiction then why should you get offended? Dan Brown (the author of the book who is even a Catholic himself) did not set out to write a hateful book, but a thrilling suspenseful book with some interesting ancient theories as part of the plot. That is all.

The film was even a very mild version of everything that is in the book.
